I want y-o-u to guess, not google as to who said the following words. On your honor, do not use a search engine.

"Yet as Christ laid not his life down by by covenant, as the elect were given him to be the purchase of his blood, or the fruit of the travail of his soul, he had respect, in all he did and suffered, to this recompense of reward. Their salvation was the joy that was set before him. It was for the coverering of their transgressions that he became obedient unto death. To them his substitution was the same in effect as if their sins had by number and measure been literally imparted to him."

In another place the same person writes :

"Finally, Mr. Baxter considers Calvinists and Arminians as reconcilable, making the difference between them of but small amount. I have no such idea...I should rather choose to go through the world alone than be connected with them [the Arminians]. Their scheme appears to me to undermine the doctrine of salvation by grace only, and to resolve the difference between one sinner and another into the will of man, which is directly opposite to all my views and experience."

No, but Spurgeon respected him a lot.

OK I give. I'm Googling it. But I won't spill the beans.

EDIT: Yeah I would have never got that. I haven't read more than a couple articles about that gentleman.

Well, RLBosley knows now. The answer is Andrew Fuller (1754-1815). He was a theologian, preacher and author. A number of folks place him as the antithesis of John Gill which I think is mistaken.

EW&F keeps making references to Fullerism and to-this-date has yet to explain himself. He just tosses the term out there and people are supposed to know intuitively what he is talking about.

I would like some Primitive Baptists to indicate whether or not they agree with the quotes in the OP from Andrew Fuller.

I didn't mean to spoil the game. I wasn't going to say who it was.

Don't worry. It's just been the two of us participating, but a lot of observers have been lurking. I still would like a response from some Primitive Baptists and those who feel they are theologically in tune with that group -- in other words --EW&F. Either you agree or disagree with the Andrew Fuller quotes. If you disagree please explain why.
