Anyone know much about it? I was thinking To send a letter to such a church as there might be one in Denver but not many. My approach would be different and I would probably send a gospel of John or a Gideon's NT and use the standard Good Person test.

My wife used to be Buddhist and she says that sometimes they will summon Devils on people as this happens a bit in Mongolia. I do not want this and I am not sure if God would allow the devil to bring havoc to the family so maybe I should send them stuff without a return address so the devil will not know how to find me. What say you?

Again witnessing to world religions is different than calling the savage wolves in the church to repentance so my approach would be entirely different. I would probably also send A God Loves you tract.

If your wife used to be one, she would probably know more than anyone on here who have only read about them.

Spirits are not all knowing and they do surround certain people and certain religions.

Hey Evan, why would you send scripture to a Buddhist? Do you think they will read it? And if they did read it would they believe it? Put yourself in their place, if they sent you one of their holy books would you believe it?

All I know is that of the buddhists I have met, they had their crap together on a personal level more than anybody I have ever met. Very calm, intent on listening with upmost attention instead of waiting for their turn to speak, which is starkly different than most junk I read on here. They seem to place a higher value on learning buddhist teachings that will make them a better person rather than spinning their wheels trying to convert others to be like them. Once again, starkly different. Out of all the people in the world you can possibly send a nasty letter to, I can't imagine that these guys ought to be a big target.

Buddha never intended to found a religion. His goal was to show a philosophy of how to live a life that is good, peaceable and fulfilling.

However, people turned it into a religion, but a non-theistic religion. There are many forms of Buddhsim . For instance there is Tibetan Buddhism, Indian Buddhism, Taoist Buddhism and other schools of Buddhism. Tibetan Buddhism involves devils to a far greater extent than other groups, at least that is my understanding. The Dalit Buddhist movement appeared late in the 20th Century. Beliefs vary from group to group but there are common precepts.

The five precepts of a good life are:

So evil spirits would need to read others' mail to find you? Odd.

How else would a devil find me of the millions here in Denver? You explain this... No question about it some are aware of my open air preaching in DT Denver but they have no idea where I live.

Odd, but perhaps you are right... as long as you are unlisted in the phone book and the Devil does not have internet access and is able to Google you.

You're writing letters to corrupt ministers. I think it's possible that demons have access to the false ministers minds, don't you? Where do you think they get their theology from?

I do not know how it works, but I thought I remember an author or speaker talking about this type of thing once in that the devils are not all knowing but they can observe and hear as its how they get information.

From the devils. The devils have seen my address and no where to find me. But God and the angels that surround me protect me. The devils hate reason and they hate classical education. They love the present education system of indoctrination and a low emphasis on creating critical thinkers. People do not think these days, they just regurgitate what they have been taught before.

People think more than you give them credit for thinking, and if it were a matter of education, I doubt Jesus would have chosen fishermen.

That said, don't worry about devils. God, not Satan, disciplines His children.

Plus...those Devils probably have Internet and people in the IRS...heck, they're already in DC... - they can find ya.

Based on what a spiritual warfare author said on this topic they are assigned to different places and different people around the world. Those in DC do not care about me. I know that according to the Bible there are devils that stay in one place all their lives which is evidence of why we have haunted houses and such. But there may be devils that can roam around and about. There was a in-depth book on this topic far more than the books I have that someone mentioned once but I can't recall the name at this time.

Oh you are wrong on discipline as God does use Satan to discipline his children. But do not assume every devil attack is a result of discipline. Warren Wiersbe has a book I have on my bookshelf on Spiritual Warfare that you need to read.

This is unintentionally hilarious. So, Evan6589 you are never tempted, never sin? Demons can't find you, I guess.

For someone who claims to be a stanch Calvinist you seem to be giving Satan more power over you then you should. Satan can only do to you what God allows him to do. Besides if a demon wanted to find you they could probably follow you home after you preach on the 16th street mall. Would not be that hard for a spirit to do so.

Yeah, it's completely impossible that a demon would have followed you to get that information. Or that the demons would have been able to talk to each other to pool info.

OK, now I'm done poking fun at you. In all seriousness, this seems to be an area in which you don't have much knowledge. Don't worry about hiding a return address. Either the demons already know where you live, or can find out in seconds. No, individually they are not omniscient. But there are billions of them and they can communicate.

Especially if one is a man of God, they know who you are.
