Not sure where this came from on Facebook, but there was this posting that got me wondering:

Jesus kept the Sabbath, and you should too!

    That doesn't make sense.
"Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day." (John 9:16)
    BUT even if Jesus had,
"Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them..." (Matthew 17:27), he demonstrates the very notion of setting aside one's rights when in the presence of those with a weaker faith so as to not cause them to stumble. Very much as Paul writes, "...
that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way." (Romans 14:13)
The problem with keeping the Sabbath is you may forget that you are saved by grace, not of works (like keeping the Sabbath).

Just some of my thoughts. GPML...

Charles Spurgeon believed in keeping the Sabbath day but he was referring to Sunday. He was also again Christians going to the play houses. I believe it was Pink that required his wife to cook enough on Saturday to last through Sunday so they wouldn't beak the Sabbath.

The time of Jesus was still under the law.

Hebrews answers this point very well.
Today many still want to live by the old covenant (or portions of it), even though Jesus popped that balloon with His death & resurrection
