    The polling was done by the GOP candidate's campaign, and although it is just an automated phone survey, it's still potentially suspect because of that relation to the candidate. A third-party source would've been more convincing.

    That said, Landrieu has done herself no favors by slandering so many people in the south. Yes, historically blacks and women have had a harder political road in the south, but her comments, backed by comments from former Obama campaign manager Stephanie Cutter, labeling southerners as racists and sexists really worked against her. As if there is no racism in this country outside of the south.

    Just the people in the south, especially Louisiana. She apparently has swilled at the taxpayer trough since she was elected to some office at the age of 23 yet calls the people sexists and racists.

    Both the Senate Democrats and President Obama turned their backs on Landrieu. If she were smart, she would change parties.
