Sadistic cops are a stain on the Finest and a drain on taxpayers, who shelled out nearly $1 billion in the last 10 years — the cost of 1,000 heart transplants — to settle the NYPD’s police brutality claims.

    This month alone:

    Cops gone wild, part two

Studies show that police officers booze and drug more than the average American, and their life expectancies are 10 years lower while their suicide rates are higher, reports the cop-run website Law Enforcement Today, accounting perhaps for why cops turn rogues. In recent weeks: An NYPD cop is videotaped throwing a pregnant woman to the ground belly first for protesting her son’s arrest, and a cop is filmed kicking a fruit vendor in the back in an unprovoked attack. The cruelty is brutal to watch, say eyewitnesses.

I was told in another thread that unless I could post thousands of instances of police misconduct I couldn't "prove" there is a problem in the police force.

Okay if that's what it takes to "prove" there is a problem. I'm sure I can post thousands of instances with no great effort on my part so long as y'all don't mind reading about anything else but in the news and current events forum for the next few months.

    So here goes . . .

Look, I'm sure you have your reasons for implying the cops are ALL bad ... but I've had the opportunity to know and work with cops from California to Nebraska. Sheriff's. Local police, border patrol, DOJ investigators, US Marshall's, prison guards and FBI. And in my position as an agency that required their assistance, as well as directly working for and with them and fellowshipping with them outside the job, I can honestly say they are people like you and I, doing a job most wouldn't do for any amount of money, and none of them had a hidden dark side waiting to get out.

I see none of the evil you elude to. So I have to politely disagree with your premise and accusations. They are unfounded brother. :flower:

Show them Poncho. But they will continue to excuse away everything you show them as the "other person's fault". It will never in some of their eyes have anything to do with the police officer's misconduct.

On more than one occasion you have accused me of "instigating" and "stirring the pot!" But like the verses I shared in another OP, the very sins you accuse others of are actually sins the accuser commits. That is the neat thing about His word, it does not come back void. It is the sword of truth. Shalom!

How exactly did he say anything about ALL cops? Get some reading comprehension Mr. Book Writing Dude. His opening sentence is "Sadistic cops are a stain on the Finest...". You can see clearly that he is saying the actions of some cops are a stain on the others. He very obviously says that it's not ALL.

Now Matt. You know he was just looking for angle from which to make his errant point. He has no problem attributing to people things that aren't said if he thinks it will curry him favor with like-minded individuals. HE's got to stay relevant you know.

You continue to ignore what the Bible teaches about not provoking others. Will continue to pray that you learn what comes from your mouth is still in your lodged in your heart. His Grace was meant to change the inner man, and yet years later, you continue to spew hatred from the same lips you pray and praise God with on Sundays I believe that is called serial hypocracy. :flower:

How can you claim to love God, when you can't show love toward your brothers?

I love you just fine. But I don't have to pretend to love your stank attitude or the manipulation. So save the high road act. I know the real you.:wavey:

Every time you insult me, it is another badge of honor you give me. Insults from the likes of you show I am doing something right. So, please continue!

Most of us here are familiar with strawman arguments such as the one you just tried to get past us. If you'd like to compare the statistics between police misconduct and the crime rate among the general population I'd be happy to accommodate you.

But leave the strawman in his cage ok? He's probably worn out from being over used here.

Insult you. I don't see any insults being directed at you! What I say to you is fact, like everything you direct to me! I guess we are both good at twisting the truth as we see it! :love2:

Poncho made it clear in another thread that his indictment of police officers for brutality includes ALL police officers. Nationwide.
