    When I learned that the Intelligence Authorization Act for FY 2015 was being rushed to the floor for a vote—with little debate and only a voice vote expected (i.e., simply declared "passed" with almost nobody in the room)—I asked my legislative staff to quickly review the bill for unusual language.     Typical, and not just concerning national security matters. Congress has for decades been ceding more and more power to the executive branch.

    Now we finally have a president who has almost complete disregard for the constraints of the Constitution and they don't know how to stop him from writing legislation in his office and making it law.

    Some day they may give away enough of our rights that they can't stop a president from getting away with a bloodless coup. Hopefully I'll be dead by then.

    The to big to fail banks already pulled it off in 2008.
