Featured Obama would surrender after Iran atomic attack

    I started off by asking him, "Dr. Sowell, you and I and countless others have been chronicling the deterioration of American culture, our society, and our politics, in my case, for 25 years. We just keep talking about it. At what point does any of this change?" And he said that's actually the big question.

    I said, "What's your biggest fear?"

    Are you ready for this?

    He said his biggest fear: The Iranians get nuclear weapons and attack not Israel, but the United States.

    Dr. Sowell said to me that one of his, not his only, of course, one of his biggest fears is that the Iranians would launch a nuclear attack of some kind on the United States.

    And the kicker? He is convinced that if Obama is president when it happens, that he will surrender.

    It red states were bombed, Obama might not have any domestic opposition left. He could issue an executive order. Someone said that Valerie Jarrett was born in Iran....

    My first thought would be----it wouldn't be up to Obama to surrender----it would be up to congress--the house and senate

    BUT (and its a big one)

    we need to remember that

    (O) has a telephone and an pen!!!! And he wouldn't hesitate to use both if need be!!!! Because it would be the right thing to do!!!!

    Yes, that's the problem. Dr. Sowell also points out that Japan surrendered after two bombs.

    I agree that Iran's main target for atomic bombs is the USA.

    Surrender to Iran?

    Even Iran knows that's impossible. Surrender requires occupation; it's not possible for Iran to do anything even remotely resembling the actions necessary after an enemy surrenders.

    I can't wrap my head around this concept. What possible concessions would we make that would, in effect, be considered "surrender"? While at the same time realizing that the better move would be to "discuss" surrender terms, meanwhile employing special forces and air strike capabilities to remove any future threat from Iran?

    The more likely scenario for Iran is "use every bomb we have all at once"....

    Not sure but I think that Dr. Sowell is talking about a terrorist nuclear attack from Iran wherein bombs could be smuggled into the USA through the open borders or the unchecked merchant ships.

    As for an army to invade us, the Jihadists could flock in among the devastation--the destruction of the USA would attract all of the Islamic world in my opinion. Also, we have enemies in Latin America who would join in.

    This whole concept is silly. The United States isn't surrendering to anyone no matter who is in office.

    Gosh they could sneak enough folks in to take DC and we still wouldn't surrender.

    There are 313 million of us. Who is gonna get enough air and ground power across the Pacific or Atlantic Oceans or through Canada or Mexico that 313 million of us are gonna surrender? :laugh:

    Talk about a quick overthrow of the government.
    Any President try that would be quickly tried for treason and removed from office with the swiftness of The Flash.

    Um...impossible. Really. There's no way enough jihadists could flock in to pose a serious threat to our military, much less the millions of rednecks that would never willingly surrender.

    THEN you have to consider, all those different factions--which one would we surrender to? Would the other factions subject themselves to that one?

    No, sorry, Dr. Sowell--this doesn't even pass the giggle test for a bad syfy channel movie plot....

    Wasn't there a movie like that recently done? They didn't nuke us, but it was folks from North Korea invading.

    I wish they would. We'd have to go all Sparta on somebody. :laugh:

    Wonder if Obama is Shia or Sunni. Iran is Shia! I know he has killed a lot of Sunni in Pakistan and Afghanistan with drones but???

    Thomas Sowell is a remarkable person. It is sad that blacks don't look to Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr. Ben Carson, and Justice Clarence Thomas as roll models instead of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Or going back in history there are Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver who actually did come out of slavery.

    Hilarious. It is sad that a lot of politically conservative Whites don't look to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit as role models instead of Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly.
