This link is a test of one's ability to handle anger. I found it interesting, and I think you will too! Give it a try, and see how you stack up when it comes to anger.

Paul does not seem to deny that believers will have moments of anger, but he instructs us in Ephesians 4:26, "In your anger do not sin..."

And the writer tells us (and like Paul, I will admit that I am the chiefist of sinners when looking at my life in comparison to the instruction of this particular verse] in Proverbs 15:1, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

**Youth pastors, Pastor/Counselors may find this link worth copying and using in ministry sessions to discuss anger management! Clearly a majority of believers, and again; I am not innocent, have fits of rage, and anger, and knowing what pushes your buttons may be of help in gaining control of your anger!

Hey, I get ANGRY all the time. Course, I am smart enough to understanding what ole' Ben Franklin meant when he said, "Anger is never without a reason, but seldom with a good one."

Most people try to present themselves just the opposite of what they really are and this has a tendency to anger me. If you're not a nice person then don't try to present yourself as "nice". I am of the opinion that many people cover themselves with tattoo's (head to toe) simply to impress when in reality, they are afraid of the realities of life.

...I get super angry at those who simply don't go by the numbers. Like, you get married first and then romp in the sack. You get a job first before you start making babies. You stop wearing those blue jeans once you hind parts start to hang out in the open. You stop piercing everything that's hanging..., or sagging.

I get angry with IGNORANT PEOPLE. Not the ones that lack in education (as most of them are quite wise) but those IGNORANT PEOPLE that sit around waiting for a handout and simply aren't bright enough to see those behind the scenes using them. Most ALL LIBERALS COME TO MIND.

I get angry with........, and the list is endless but I'll stop here because invariably, I'll point to one of you readers..., then the fight will break out..., and my anger will flare up like the morning sun.

You all have a good one.

This is an anger management quiz. The reading comprehension will come next week. And I'll try to get that test with a BRAILLE component, so you can read it. Any further questions, try Wikipedia

BTW - I aced the test. Let me know how you scored out?

You wrote that you found it interesting, not that you actually took it. I would not want to presume.

I didn't need no silly test to tell me what I already know. I'll admit it, I definitely have serious anger management issues, even though the test said they were moderate.

"Your overarching reactions to aggressive emotions seem to be rather stable and average across the board. From a mental standpoint, you are fully aware of what upsets you and what does not - and tend to get upset over things that are more personal in nature. You are able to brush off problems that are clearly out of your control or are of happenstance, but anything pertaining to you directly can still cause quite a stir such as bouts with jealously or ego(s). You do, however, still have control over your temper from a psychological standpoint - and truly angering you into a fury takes effort. Just be ware of passive behavior and bottling up stressors."

That is fair enough. When I say I found something interesting, that means I partook of the thing I found interesting. Will promise to be more specific in the future; even though old habits are hard to break!

"Whether you've struggled with anger, jealousy, and all of their counterparts in the past or not - You've managed to work yourself into (or maintain) a very healthy state of being. Sure, you still get upset or find the occasional annoyance, but are not prone to outbursts or blowing situations out of proportion. Psychologically, you tend to work problems out directly with whomever may be the source of said issues, and actively make effort not to bottle things up. Many strong correlations between stress/anger levels and overarching health have been made - and your state of mind is a wonderful way to ensure a longer, healthier life!"

It's that peace that passeth understanding thing, my friend. At the risk of being labeled a human secularist, this quote from Viktor Frankl helped me put many things in perspective:

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms - to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.

We have little to say over many of the events in life but do have control how we respond. I have a very long fuse. On the rare occasion it has burned long those responsible for lighting it rue the day they struck the match. :wavey:
