Does Sleep = Death.

    Lazerus was dead, but he told his disciples that Lazerus sleepeth. Sleep is one of the most active states of the brain. So it is anything but unconsciousness. Primarily it is used for the state of the body in the grave as resting in the earth for the resurrection.

    Also, isn't sleep in reference to those who died in triumphs of the Lord?

    ...and Stephen fell asleep...Acts 7:60...

    Yes, it is always in reference to God's saints as there is "NO REST FOR THE WICKED"
