Write a letter to the School Lunch Czar, Michelle Obama.

No kidding. Look nowhere else but Michelle Obama for ruining school lunches.

Her and her husband got the anti-midas touch…..

It is so surprising that each of those countries use the same exact divided tray to serve the lunches!!

As the first comment said, it looks quite staged. What is the source for these meals? I doubt they took pictures of the actual lunches from the schools in those countries. I could e-mail a couple of my friends right now in at least 4 of those countries to see if that link is accurate and my guess is that it is not.

Today's lunch at the high school was mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce, broccoli with sauteed garlic and peaches. Yesterday was beef gyro with fresh crisp greens and cucumber sauce, healthy cole slaw and fruit juice. You can see our district's high school menu for the month here: http://web.northport.k12.ny.us/files/233932/feb 15 hs menu1.pdf

I found an elementary school lunch that had "popcorn chicken" in it and it contains the chicken along with a harvest bean salad and applesauce. Here is the elementary school menu http://web.northport.k12.ny.us/files/233932/feb.15 elem menu.pdf

That is better. I used to get my school lunch in a paper sack. PBJ every day until I was in the 8th grade and darn happy to have it. Having an apple was a treat and around Christmas time there would be an occasional orange. Darn happy to have that too.

    My son almost always gets:

sandwich (today was ham and cheese but it can be roast beef, turkey, bologna, turkey or tuna salad, peanut butter and jelly or salami)
small bag of chips (today was potato chips)
fruit or veggie (today he had green pepper slices along with some ranch dip)
    beverage (today was a water)

Not too bad! He's waiting for the school to offer philly steak sandwiches to buy again but 99% of the time he is taking lunch from home. I've let him buy when I've been too sick to make him lunch. Yes, he could make his own easily and I know sometime he will but for now, I like making him lunch and seeing him out the door.

If you want the schools to serve better lunches have the school administrators take a pay cut and put the money into the food.

Expect CTB to make some comment about hypocritical pro-life Christians wanting schoolchildren to starve.

Rev Mitchell, are you saying that School admins are overpaid ?
Take a look at how little that the School Superintendents of Central New York make.

Schools are feeding kids at least two meals a day and sometimes all year long. I don't want kids to starve, but I ask, where do grub stubs go? Are they not enough? Or are poor parents not feeding kids with them? Why does it have to be grub stubs AND schools feeding kids year yound.

It seems that school breakfast began when extensive bussing began. When kids got on the bus before 6 am - they did need something to eat by the time they got to school.

If there is one hungry Democrat child out there, we must have a new federal program....
