    No way.

Can't you just smell the patchouli and B.O. emanating off of this….well, let's call it "Pat". Or "Chris". Perhaps "Terry".

Hey Rolf, you started this thread. Is that a chick or a dude that just met Officer Buzz Killington, and is now getting their mellow harshed ?

There is a Volvo in the background. Rolf will be distracted. :tongue3: Maybe it is one of those rare genderless gutter snipes? With a bong.

I believe it. I've seen plenty of crazy driving, and most of the time they're on their phone. I'd much rather be on the road with people high on pot than people using their stupid phones.
Better yet, don't drive at all if you're high or on your phone!
And while we're at it, five year suspensions for driving drunk, with once a month random breathalizers that must all be passed before the license is reinstated. Ten years if there's an accident. If on the phone or high and there's an accident, ten year suspension. Forever suspension for any of it if anyone is killed or severely injured.
I really dislike it when people endanger other drivers with their stupidity. There's enough sadness in this world without people running around causing grief because they refuse to use common sense!

So if someone is high AND on their phone.... I drive commercially and get plenty of interaction with other drivers. Two things stand out: folks don't pay attention and many just don't care about the other drivers on the road. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've had to stop my vehicle and just let the idiot finish whatever it was they were doing except driving. The coach I drive is 42 foot long and weighs 28,500 pounds. I can't repeal the laws of physics just because the other guy was running late, talking or texting and a myriad of other non-driving actions.

I've been cut off, nearly run off the road and forced to stop before they ran into me. I don't see where being high is going to improve things. Sober folks are hard enough to deal with on the road.

Many years ago when I had a summer job doing field research in forestry with a co-worker, we were offered some weed by men who had been assisting us in the woods. I had no interest, having smelled the stuff more than I wanted while delivering pizza at a local college, but my co-worker accepted the offer.

After the ten-mile drive to where we were lodging, he said he was very glad I was driving, because the weed was more potent than he was used to, and his time sense became warped - slow motion for a while, then rapid fire, then back again. This is anecdotal, and may only be one person's reaction, but that reaction is not one with which I'd care to share the road.
