That's right ... after a few years of close scrutiny, Holder and his crew found that Zimmerman did not violate any of Trayvon Martin's rights.

Does this wipe the slate clean, for Zimmerman, or will those who think Martin was wrongly killed, continue to protest?

It only took 3 years for the feds to clear his name. And we thought that the commies had slow justice.

Here is your hero's resume with law enforcement cooperation. From his wikipedia page. (And before anyone goes onto a tangent about that being a source, every one of these incidents is documented by a credible news source.)

Apart from the 2012 Martin shooting, Zimmerman has had other encounters with the law, including two incidents in 2005, five incidents in 2013 and other incidents in following years.[25]

In July 2005, when he was 21, Zimmerman was arrested after shoving an undercover alcohol-control agent while a friend of Zimmerman's was being arrested for underage drinking. The officer alleged that Zimmerman had said, "I don't care who you are," followed by a profanity, and had refused to leave the area after the officer had shown their badge.[26] The charges were subsequently dropped when Zimmerman entered a pre-trial diversion program that included anger-management classes.[3][27] Also in 2005, Zimmerman's ex-fiancée filed a restraining order against him, alleging domestic violence. Zimmerman requested a reciprocal restraining order. Both orders were granted.[3][28] These incidents were raised by prosecutors at Zimmerman's initial bond hearing. The judge described them as "run of the mill."[29][30]

On September 9, 2013, in Lake Mary, Florida, police responded to a 911 call by Zimmerman's estranged wife, who reported that Zimmerman had threatened her and her father with a gun and had punched her father in the face. Zimmerman was briefly detained and questioned by police.[31] No gun was found at the scene. Police took a broken iPad from the scene for examination of a video recording of the incident to determine whether to press charges against either Zimmerman or his wife.[32] His wife declined to press charges, later expressing regret about her decision.[33] After determining that the iPad video could not be recovered, the Lake Mary police department announced they would not be pressing charges against Zimmerman, his wife, or her father.[34]

On November 18, 2013, Zimmerman's girlfriend called the police alleging that after she had asked Zimmerman to leave her home, he had pointed a shotgun at her and begun breaking her belongings.[35] The police reported that Zimmerman had barricaded himself inside the apartment before they had made their way inside and arrested him.[36] He was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon – a felony – as well as domestic violence battery and criminal mischief.[37][38] On December 6, Zimmerman's girlfriend asked that the charges against Zimmerman be dropped and that the restraining order barring him from seeing her be lifted, after which prosecutors said that they would no longer be pursuing a case against him.[39][40]

On Tuesday September 9, 2014, George Zimmerman was named by police in a road rage incident where he reportedly threatened and followed another driver.[41] Zimmerman reportedly responded aggressively when he noticed another driver pointing at him. According to the other driver Zimmerman said "Do you know who I am?" before saying, "I'll (expletive) kill you." Zimmerman allegedly followed the other driver to a parking lot while the driver called 911, but he fled before the police arrived.[42] The other driver declined to press charges.

On January 9, 2015, Zimmerman was arrested by Lake Murray police and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon after allegedly throwing a wine bottle at his ex-girlfriend.[43] He was released on bond the following day.[44] The charges from the wine bottle incident were later dropped after the complainant recanted her story. Zimmerman's record, past or present, has no bearing on the fact that he did not violate the civil rights of Martin.

It does to some, sag38. Some people bought the media's portrayal of Martin as a 12-year old angel and Zimmerman as a hardened white racist hook line and sinker. Some folks never wanted to look beyond what NBC and CNN were telling them to believe about the case. Even when it was revealed that NBC had purposefully edited Zimmerman's call to the police to make him look racist, NBC didn't fully apologize and people still looked at Zimmerman like he killed Martin simply because Martin was black.

Didn't say it did. Just that this guy seems to have an anger issue and for some reason can't keep off the radar which is somewhat odd for a guy that just got off a high profile case like that. We'll likely never know what happened that night.

Agreed. I would certainly be upset, but what should he do? He became the unfair target of some very malicious attacks during the trial. Spike Lee tweeted an address he assumed was Zimmerman's, but which actually belonged to an elderly couple, who became the victims of verbal assaults, even though they had nothing to do with episode. Zimmerman was labeled a racist, his ethnicity was changed from 'white" to "white Hispanic," in order to keep it fitting the media's narrative. (How many "white Hispanics" do you know?) It was a bad situation. I thought Zimmerman did right by kind of fading into the shadows, but then these other incidents came up that, while not attached to the Martin case, kept Zimmerman on the radar for the media.

True, but at the same time I find it odd that in every case the charges are dropped or the story is recanted. Wonder why? (Seriously. I'm not being facetious. That strikes me as odd.)

Do you really. This wouldn't be the first woman who keeps continuing the pattern in an abusive relationship.

The trial would never have happened had Zimmerman simply did as he was told by the police. It's odd how people view Zimmerman as this tortured soul and something of a hero.

I've said he has OJ Simpson disease. He'll end up in jail for something eventually because he seems to be as full of himself as OJ was.

I don't know if unfair is the right word. He reminds me of a certain poster. He likes attention too much and that's how he ended up in the situation.

He's in a pattern of behavior right now that says he'll probably do something that gets him either killed or locked up for a long time.

I pray that his behavior changes and that if he doesn't know Jesus, Jesus swats him on the head and says get a clue before it's too late.

It would be a cool story to see him living for Jesus instead of what seems to be a very tiny spotlight.

I was under the impression that he did. He began to chase after Martin, the police told him to stop, and, per sound on the phone recording, he did stop and return to his vehicle. It was two minutes later, after Zimmerman hung up, that some sort of altercation began. Martin was an athletic 17 year old who was less than a quarter mile from his townhome. I'm twice that old with a bad knee and back and I could cover a quarter mile on foot in two minutes, especially if being chased.

I followed the case rather closely, UOT, as I had friends living nearby at the time and I frequently found myself in discussions about it at work.

Firmly agree on that one. But like you said, sometimes it takes Jesus swatting us on the head to truly get our attention.

Right. Who started the fight will never be known though. Zimmerman seems to have gotten the benefit of the doubt because he is alive. Did he provoke or frighten Martin into attacking him or did Martin just jump him willy nilly. These are things we will never know. All we do know is that this situation was avoidable.

This might be the best thing you've said about him.

I never bought the hard luck trouble follows me routine. I think two bad guys met one night, and one walked away.

The title of this thread is offensive.

It reminded me of what Pilate told the chief priests and their officials regarding Jesus: "I find no guilt in him." (ESV,NASB)

Only Jesus can be truly regarded as having no guilt.

Other people can stand trial and be considered not guilty. But to call your thread We Find No Guilt In You is in bad taste.

I'm willing to bet Zimmerman ran his mouth and got into a fight he wasn't able to win.

Amen to: "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; there are none righteous, not one."

This globe is becoming overrun with Narcissistic males and not a few females.

There is only one remedy for sin: Jesus, the Christ.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
