They can get away with that sort of stuff in South Bend because it is a Democrat city and a dying city like Detroit. There is no work in South Bend and everyone wants out of there. All these Democrat cities are pits.

Of course, it is black privilege and racists--it was intended to be. It was based upon the color of your skin and not the content of your character. MLK was a dreamer; Sharpton is pragmatic.

I don't get it. How does only sending black kids help them see their options for the future any better than sending kids of all races? That logic could only come from a liberal.

Another way to put it is how does including children of other races other than black inhibit black children from seeing what their options are for the future?

How can developing and maintaining a program specifically designed for the betterment of one race do anything but perpetuate racism? I do not know the area, but if it is similar to just about any metropolitan area then the social issues the school system is trying to address, while perhaps disproportionate, is not restricted to one race.

    This is nothing but segregation.

Same question I have often asked about "affirmative action".

Never have received an answer that made sense. You won't either.

A "decision" is one that affects your self.
He made a POLICY that was discriminatory; based on Black privilege.

So you are denying he made a policy -that was required to be followed.

(Hint - I was trying to make a point)

No, he obviously made a policy but the decision comment didn't really make any sense.

So was that policy black privilege ?
    Was it discrimination?

If not, then what was it.

I already said it was a bad decision. Let's try to not create any new buzzwords like black privilege please. When black people use the term right or wrong it is meant at a national level. You are trying to make a point off of an outlier.

Who knows. How would we ever quantify it truthfully? I do know that it is fairly easy to just be sympathetic to people's feelings about this without being offensive or condescending. I mean, I live in rural Virginia in the suburbs. Life is good. Some black people probably do live in areas that racism is still a hinderance, and some black people probably do mistakenly attribute their misfortune to white people. It's illogical to take an absolute stance on either side when the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

Someone that has been on the wrong side of racism may be jaded and considered me privileged. Ok then, now what? I don't have to agree but I'm really not going to waste a brain cell fighting it either. This doesn't have to be some adversarial situation all the time. I've managed to navigate life successfully dealing with both types of black people and I've done just fine. Nobody is trying to take anything away from you.

I do not believe their given reason for doing it is the real reason they did it.

He's got bigger fish to fry (stirring up racial issues all over the board). But expect his alter ego, robustheology-man from fat-lanta to chime in during "z's"absence. They are of one mind !
