Obama has not problem deriding conservatives, republicans, Americans and the past history and speaking ill of them but:

He refuses to speak the truth about the Armenian Genocied, extremist muslim terrorists etc.

He has spoken out against muslim terrorist and has been actively killing them for almost a year.

As for the Armenian Genocide, it is a political decision mainly because Turkey is seen as a cooperative partner in the fight against ISIS. I think it is a flimsy excuse really and I doubt Turkey would bail out on their position against ISIS just because he said it. I'm not sure why he is being stubborn on this one.

I think that is rather unfair to Turkey! I was aware of the Armenian Genocide long ago. Why has this SUDDENLY become an issue. I am all for the recognition of this terrible event which galvanised a diaspora of Armenians to all corners of the world. No nation likes to be forced to confront unpalatable truths.

It seems to me that this is designed to put pressure on Turkey by minions of ISIS as well as those who genuinely want recognition. ISIS is very good at provocative actions, it wants disharmony and mayhem in order to pursue its own agenda of global domination.

Muslims don't mind killing each other. Ezpecially to advance what they consider to be a larger agenda.

Obama killed far more Americans with his ROEs. His way of apologizing, maybe. ;)

Perhaps we define "taking responsibility" (or credit)" and "actively" differently.

The point is he being accused of being sympathetic to Muslim terrorism and he has directed combat actions at them for some time now. Where have you been?

I think you know that I wasn't insinuating that Obama was moonlighting as a Navy Seal.

The second statement has been made before on this board and I have never EVER received an answer on what ROE's are killing Americans. It's also pretty hilarious that someone who was in the military thinks that President Obama actually writes them. I was there during the transition from Bush to Obama and I'm pretty sure my ROE card didn't change. Artillery and Air Strikes were curbed long before Obama if that's even what you are talking about.

It's also pretty classless to make jokes about dead Americans to enable your conspiracy theory garbage that Obama is killing American troops for his Muslim buddies.

Stop being a tool of the enemy Carpro.

When Obama was a candidate for president he promised to denounce the murders as genocide. However, after he was elected, he refuse to fulfil his promise.

Sadly, with the connivance of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and the democrat party of the far left, he kept one promise; to fundamentally change America.

The point is your....uh...exaggeration...is basically following the same principle as those you complain about (those who say President Obama is sympathetic to Muslim terrorism). You are just another pea in that pod. President Obama does not direct combat actions. Where have I been? Where have you been? A more important question is whether or not you understand the role of President. Although not evident by your post here, I'm sure you do understand that the President neither actively engages the enemy, nor does he direct combat actions. His is an administrative role. I understand your point, but please understand mine. You are just as guilty of misrepresentation of the truth as those you'd accuse. One side of the coin - President Obama is sympathetic to Muslim (or any other type) of terrorism. The other side - President Obama has directed combat actions against these terrorists.

I gave you the "benefit" of the doubt in terms of lacking ignorance when you said that the President has been "actively killing" terrorists or has "directed combat actions" against them. Unfortunately, in so doing we removed ignorance as a defense for your words (which are obviously false).

I thought it was pretty obvious that my statement was hyperbole but thanks for the missive.

All of this is semantics. Use the word "authorized" instead of "directs" if you like but he did have input to the type of combat operations we would be conducting against ISIS in his role as Commander in Chief and authorized the use of deadly force in these combat areas. That is a fact. I'm aware that the role of President is administrative. The point is that people are complaining about him discussing "muslim extremists" which is kind of funny considering he has committed our forces against them for almost a year now. Is that better? People often say he is sympathetic to Islam but I figure him to be a guy who is apathetic towards religion in general.

Do you think our President is sympathetic to Muslim terrorists Jon?

Semantics???? Saying the President has been actively killing terrorists or has directed combat actions is not an issue of semantics. It would be the same as saying the President, his administration, and the Democratic Party has been actively killing babies or have been directing abortion procedures. I get the point….I get the emotion….but it’s not semantics. It’s exaggeration and propaganda.

That said, I agree with you :wavey: . I believe President Obama apathetic towards religion in general…except the religion of politics.

Goodness gracious it's hyperbole Jon, calm down. Don't you find it kind of ironic how you are worried about me saying all this but exaggeration and propaganda rule the day on this message board on a daily basis and I don't recall you taking the stand with others that you are taking with me here. Wonder why that is? I'll expect to see you taking others to task for this. You are going to be busy.

:laugh: I'm not "taking a stand" and I'm not worried, offended, or anything at all.... in the least. I rarely hit the "politics" category because I rarely care about politics. I don't here either....just popped in and nothing else was going on. But hey....at least I agreed with you about the President not being a religious Muslim or sympathetic to terrorism .

WASHINGTON — This was the enemy, served up in the latest chart from the intelligence agencies: 15 Qaeda suspects in Yemen with Western ties. The mug shots and brief biographies resembled a high school yearbook layout. Several were Americans. Two were teenagers, including a girl who looked even younger than her 17 years.

President Obama, overseeing the regular Tuesday counterterrorism meeting of two dozen security officials in the White House Situation Room, took a moment to study the faces. It was Jan. 19, 2010, the end of a first year in office punctuated by terrorist plots and culminating in a brush with catastrophe over Detroit on Christmas Day, a reminder that a successful attack could derail his presidency. Yet he faced adversaries without uniforms, often indistinguishable from the civilians around them.

In interviews with The New York Times, three dozen of his current and former advisers described Mr. Obama’s evolution since taking on the role, without precedent in presidential history, of personally overseeing the shadow war with Al Qaeda.

His first term has seen private warnings from top officials about a “Whac-A-Mole” approach to counterterrorism; the invention of a new category of aerial attack following complaints of careless targeting; and presidential acquiescence in a formula for counting civilian deaths that some officials think is skewed to produce low numbers.

Good. I recall another report of President Bush personally overseeing combat actions (from the White House). I don't believe either directed combat operations or actively killed anyone....except maybe to get in office if "House of Cards" is reflective of the process .

Vice President Cheney did shoot that guy on the hunting trip...he's the exception.

The Bush administration began using drone strikes in 2004 and had launched a total of 49 by the time Mr. Bush left office in early 2009, according to the New America Foundation, a nonprofit think tank in Washington. Of those strikes, 48 were in Pakistan and one was in Yemen, and they killed as many as 356 militants.

Under Mr. Obama, through mid-April 2013, the U.S. has launched another 379 drone strikes — nearly eight times more than the Bush administration. Of those attacks, 72 occurred in Yemen. As many as 2,895 militants have been killed on Mr. Obama’s watch, according to the foundation, including nearly 1,000 in Yemen.
