    Okay, young man in hood...

    ...getting whupped by his mother.

Who wants to bet her rights as a mother will not compare to her rights as a mother to end her son's life when he was in her womb?

Praise God that in the midst of intentional overlooking of sin...this mother exacts discipline that may have, again...preserved her son's life.

Go ahead mom...knock some sense into your son's head, lol. I will sign any petition to stand up for your right to follow Scriptural teaching and to...

...beat the Hell out of that wayward and mislead youth of yours.

I don't see it as child abuse, but a stern and needed discipline that is woefully lacking these days. The event was extreme calling for extreme measures.

Anyone daring to question her rights as a mother can also question why she did what she did.

    Open for critique.

    ;)

And for the record, race is not an issue...motherhood and discipline are. Leave race behind and let's discuss this from a strictly Biblical Worldview.

    God bless.

I have to say that it's been interesting to see the white/black response on my Facebook. Many black mamas are all about opening that "can of whoop …ummm butt?" and many white mamas are also supporting but a number of white mamas are calling this abuse. I really think some of this is not necessarily race but cultural.

But bottom line, that mama needs to do what she needs to do. I'm not sure how much that boy was disciplined before this point but as teens will often rebel and go with the crowd, sometimes it takes some tough love to get the point across and that's where this mama is at.

    Agreed on the last.

Cultural? Perhaps. In the sense of culture that embraces the rule within the family unit.

And this woman ruled the day as far as I'm concerned. She is the only one who took action that can be commended. With the exception of the police though their hands were tied. They suffered 15 casualties whereas of the rioters we have seen only one...

...the whupped pup who thought he was outside of his mother's protection, lol.

Makes me think of the giraffe that kicks her young to get them on their feet that they might escape the peril life holds.

This boy will forever be infamous for many reasons. This mother will forever be famous for obvious reasons. So glad someone caught it on camera.

In regards to the reaction I am also glad to see someone like the black council woman stating the facts. These people destroyed their own community. One young rioter was stupid enough to say "We're tired of them coming in and taking everything we got."

    The irony is killing me...

    God bless.
