    I haven't posted in several days, but I read everyday. I've come to a conclusion and I wish people here would join with me.

    I'm not going to post anymore in threads where the sole intent from the OP is to stir up fights and where blatant and hateful insinuations are made and lies are told about people here.

    I don't care what side you are on or what you are posting about.

    It's gone beyond the ridiculous and into the inane. We need to let these threads die responseless and drift away into the archives unopened. You can agree with me or not. I won't judge.

    I just don't think we are edifying each other anymore.

    It's OK to debate in a healthy manner and disagree agreeably, but what's going on here is chaos and it's vile. It's verbal rioting. And it's ugly. We ALL have certain posters who push our buttons and sometimes it's because we are too sensitive, but mostly it's because they are trying to push our buttons.

    We don't HAVE to respond. We don't HAVE to read them. Our abstaining from them won't give them credibility. Our getting wrapped up in the heat of the fight only lends the OP what they want.

    Again, I don't care which side you are on nor what you are talking about.

    I'm not even going to read these threads anymore because they are all just a repeat of each other. I just thought someone might like to join me in abstaining from these types of threads and let's turn the Baptistboard back into what it used to be.

    A good and sensible idea. I've greatly reduced posting for the reasons you've cited. I do chime in now and again but mostly for clarification or comic relief.

    The scriptures say Lets us reason together!... There is more browbeating on here than reasoning. We need to start being the Christians on here that we claim to be. I will hold a constructive debate on here with anyone but I will not be belligerent about it. Some use the word of God as a battering tool!... There is way too much flesh on here and very little godly Christian spirit... My fear is that new Christians will come on here and see the attitude of ingratitude of followers of Jesus Christ and leave!... We are children of God but sometimes others who are also of the same camp need to point other backsliders back to the Lord!... Enough is ENOUGH!... The moderators need to be notified and post a moratorium what do you all think?... Brother Glen

    Sad thing is that so much of the ugliness of late seems to originate with a few.

    I do not understand why it is allowed to continue by the Administration.

    I do not know what the Pit Stop is, but it sounds quieter.

    I'm in. You can only have the same debate so many times before it gets dull. It's gotten to the point where I can almost predict what will be said by others before it even happens. Nice work.

    I grew tired of it all, too.

    There does seem a resistance to real edification.

    No doubt, there is a time to cook a steak and a time to drive a stake into the heart. Just as there is a time to enjoy the meat and a time to mete out correction.

    Yep, I agree with the belief there is a lot of deliberate baiting. Incidentally, keep me in your prayers, I have a date with a surgeon next Monday.....I dream of eating a steak not vitamised, or some pasta!

    I often think that we need to turn the BB back into what it used to be...but you know, it was not all roses then either (although I do miss legitimate discussions). We just had different agitators, and no animal pictures (we had grown up conversations, even though we often disagreed). If I recall correctly, we had people taking extended breaks from posting because of all the strife and malice (I was one of them....not the malice part.....well, maybe a little malice.... but I took a long break).
