Look how far we've fallen. An NBC/Wall St. Journal poll shows that more people are comfortable with a gay candidate than with an Evangelical Christian candidate.

Q19 NOT thinking about any specific candidates, I'm going to list several types of people who might run for president. For each one, please tell me whether that type of candidate is someone you would (a) be enthusiastic about, (b) be comfortable with, (c) have some reservations about, or (d) be very uncomfortable with

    Gay/Lesbian
    Enthusiastic 13%
    Comfortable 48%
    Reservations 18%
    Uncomfortable 19%

    Evangelical Christian
    Enthusiastic 12%
    Comfortable 40%
    Reservations 24%
    Uncomfortable 20%

One problem is the liberals have nothing better to do than answer poll questions. Us conservatives are busy getting stuff done.

At some point, when I get more time, I'd like to look at some specifics. For example, this was reported by MSNBC; who actually conducted the poll? What was the demographic of the people polled? Where were they located?

By that I mean, if it was conducted by MSNBC personnel, and they polled people who work for MSNBC, then there's not a whole lot of credence to this poll....

The metrics of the poll at are the link. It was conducted by NBC and the Wall St. Journal via Hart Research Associates. 1,000 adults were asked; 52% were women; 48% were men.

Perhaps folks aren't seeing much difference between the two. The things that Christians are supposed to be distinguished by, seem to be absent a lot more than they are present outside the Christian circle of friends.

Don't say specifically, but there is this:

Q12 Now, if there were a presidential primary election in your state, would you vote in the Democratic primary, the Republican primary, or would you wait to vote in the general election in November 2016?

    Vote in Democratic Primary 32%
    Vote in Republican Primary 29%
Wait until the general election 35%
Do not plan to vote at all 1%
    Not sure 3%

Q13 Do you think it would be better for the country to have a Democrat or a Republican as the next president?

    Democrat 40%
    Republican 39%
    Makes No Difference 7%
    Neither 5%
    Not Sure 9%

    It's a sinful world.

    I wouldn't expect anything else.
