Rec an Email from "the Bible for Today"
"President Ronald Reagan Is Seen Here Taking A Stand For The King James Bible"

So based on what Reagan said in the YouTube video, do you think he is KJO?

Having listened to that, I would say he is certainly KJVP, but I would hesitate to haphazardly label anyone as falling under any particular alignment.
But so I'm also KJVP, so maybe I'm reading that into the response.

No, more likely he doesn't like the "Good News for Modern Man" translation, because it is so dumbed down.

Yes, I agree with you - (wow twice in two days!)
However, in the email I received it appeared the was trying to insulate that Reagan was KJO

Mr. Reagan certainly seemed to favor the majesty of the KJV translation. He was not in favor Good News loose translation. Did He like the NKJV?

Seeing where the source came from, I doubt they would want Regan's opinion.

While I respect President Reagan and consider him to be without question our greatest president of the 20th century, he would not be my very first go-to person to seek out advice on selecting a Bible translation.

Reagan was a very intelligent person on some matters, but I'd have to question some of the things he did in his personal life.

I was glad to support him in 1980 and 1984, and long for someone like him to show up in the upcoming presidential election cycle. OTOH, he wouldn't be my first choice for a pastor/elder/deacon.

    'Nuff said.

One of the Bibles on my bookshelf is the "American Patriots Bible." It is a New King James Version. It contains extensive quotes from Ronald Reagan, and so I doubt if his family would have allowed the usage, had Mr. Reagan indicated his dislike of the NKJV.

Well, if we were honest, no one would be our first choice for pastor/elder/deacon if we knew everything about their personal lives. All have sinned and come short. But that's off OP, so apologies.
