    My two cents - If it was her personal computer, then the USMC was wrong. If it was a government computer, then she was wrong.

    It sounds like she was trouble before this. I've seen joes het in a scrape with an NCO and then try to grasp at a straw of religion.



    Plain fact is, if anyone (higher rank or lower) tells you they don't like something personal on your desk, you have to remove it. Otherwise you are contributing to a hostile workplace.



    The fact that this is clearly not a religious liberty case, and that she failed to obey the order without checking to see if she could even fight the battle, tells me she wanted trouble. The proper course would have been to remove it, and then get the chaplain involved, and escalate it from there.



    And you can't pin failure to report on this at all, try as one might
