    Interesting thread. And for my critics, I do not have a source for this thread, other than the name at the bottom of the letter, from a law student!

    I thought this was interesting .... what say you?

    THE DIVORCE DECREE

    Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters:
    We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.
    Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way

    Here is our separation agreement:
    --Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate taste
    --We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them.
    --You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.
    --Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military
    --We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and the coalmines, and you can go with wind, solar and bio-diesel.
    --You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.
    --We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.
    --You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies, and illegal aliens.
    --We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.
    --We'll keep Bill O' Reilly and Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.
    --You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.
    --You can have the peaceniks and war protesters.
    -- When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.
    --We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.
    --You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley MacLaine. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill.
    --We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find.
    --You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.
    --We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem."
    I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine,” "I'd Like to Teach the World to sing", "Kum Ba Ya," or "We Are the World.”
    --We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.
    --Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name, and our flag.
    Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you might think about which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

    Funny how you have moved from the picked on conspiracy nut job, to somewhat of a bully yourself. Who would have thunk it? You learned from the best, and now you are trying your hand at picking at others.

    Suggestion: go back to what made you a fixture here,. Finding a conspiracy in everything you read. :laugh:

    I understand that posting divisive material seems "normal" to those who don't know anything else. It's the way of the "mainstream" world after all.

    I always wondered what guys like you would do if you could no longer seek the shelter and comfort of your little group think consensus.

    You've been giving me clues all along.

    You'll play the victim, call names and make accusations.

    Funny you should accuse me of being a "conspiracy nut" right after you post a whole series of conspiracy theories. But then I guess according to the "world view consensus" it's permissible to "see" a "conspiracy" so long as it only pertains to the "other side", lefties in this case.

    It has been suggested by several posters on this board that I stop posting things in which I cannot prove even though I have provided ample proof with each posting.

    "Okay no problem" I said to myself. But, I also decided that if I have to prove everything I say so do all you folks.

    Only thing is you folks don't like to live by the rules you place on others.

    Take for example the fabled "Russian aggression" conspiracy theory you all seem to subscribe to. You can't prove it, you refuse to provide evidence to support your allegations and tell me because people who have lied to us in the past are making the same allegations you guys are it must be true.

    What's really funny is how you guys that believe such unverified conspiracy theories react when asked to provide evidence to verify them. You act all dumbfounded, wha, wha, wha? Poncho doesn't believe something we can't prove? "Hello! Wake up Poncho, it's mainstream consensus! It must be true!!!"

    "Poncho must be a conspiracy theorist! :laugh: Or anti American, or liberal or libertarian or, or, or, . . ." :laugh:

    To be honest I find your divisive leftie vs rightie pablum boring and non productive. About the only thing it does is further divide us into bickering factions and make you feel comfortable and superior believing you are part of some group that thinks just like you. But then I guess you can only do what you've been trained to do your whole life.

    Thinking outside the false left vs right paradigm is something you have no training for so you do the only thing you know how to do when confronted by someone who can think outside it.

    You act like you just did. You play the victim, call names and make accusations.

    I would think you'd be more interested in reading more of RD2's divisive pablum. It coincides with your own life long training.

    Blame the other side and make up excuses for your own. :smilewinkgrin:

    That's Baptist Board "politics" in a "nutshell". It's easy because it's not so deep as to have to do any thinking, you only have to keep repeating what's been repeated 10 gazillion times before.

    That is a general consensus.
    Even Hitler had some good points
    And Regan had some bad points.

    But it comes down to the overall picture.

    I ran for State Assembly about a dozen years ago. My opponent was considered by the NY Conservative Party as the most liberal Assemblyman in the State House. Yet, he pushed a bill thur for me! (but eventually vetoed by the Governor)

    Being annoying is your game. Posting divisive material is RD2's game and it's quite boring to keep reading the same old leftie vs rightie vs leftie vs rightie vs leftie vs rightie stuff.

    We've already had ten thousand leftie vs rightie vs leftie vs rightie vs leftie vs rightie threads.

    While we waste time playing the blame game and calling each other names the corporate elite that control both parties and the mass media are laughing their rear ends off at us divided bickering fools.

    So let's keep playing their game by their rules and keep posting divisive material and blaming the other side. Look how well this strategy has worked so far.
