    Cool. I've always wondered why the flecks of butt-matter in that endless void don't just pass right through the flecks of chair-matter in that endless void. :)

    Arthur Crawford, pastor of Riverside Bible Church in Columbus, OH, and a genius nuclear physicist involved in the Manhattan Project, and who used to make the drive monthly to teach a one hour Bible class where I was raised put it this way, that if all the space was knocked out of the atoms that comprised the school building we were meeting in, it could be 'swept up into a dust pan' (so to speak).

    I've never forgotten that. Thanks for the post. I appreciate things like this.

    I've watched the documentary 'Particle Fever' at least four times already, it's fascinating to me.

    Thanks KR, it is the teacher in me. I like to attempt to engage students to think about the world and from whence it came.

    Oh, I just love this article! Thanks for sharing it. I just shared it with five science teacher friends on Facebook.

    It's a testimony to how God holds it all together.

    Perhaps this is the difference in our NOW bodies, and our GLORIFIED bodies to come; the ability to nullify these "forces" as Jesus apparently did since He could eat as a typical human, BUT could also walk THROUGH solid (?) doors at will.
    Quirky, but very intriguing!:confused::D

    No....I liked the first article much better....this one gave me a headache :(. And I had all but forgotten about Schrödinger’s cat until this article.

    From what I get of the article (which isn't much) I tend to lean on much of wave function as "subjective knowledge." I understand it's usage, but I do not know that it can definitely be determined that it accurately reflects (....or, I suppose, "is") reality. It appears more statistical to me....but I'm a novice observer, and am certainly not qualified to provide a critique.

    You hit the "statistical" (Probability) nail on the head. The quantum world is strange...to say the least. For me, the REALLY strange thing is that despite our massive lack of definitive understand.....quantum mathematics works so well.

    I hope "one day" we, when we are in His presence are permitted to peer behind the curtain of creation and see His glory in all this.

    It is a quaint saying, "perception is reality" but also profound. My mind thinks in its own "fools paradise." I think about the "pull of gravity" rather than the "push" of space/time. And density is not our only fiction, think about the colorless range light frequency that our mind turns into a glorious sunset.

    Even when we try to communicate, we fail as our minds manipulate the data into recognizable forms. Most of us would accept that deep roots are better than shallow roots, backstopped by the Matthew 13 illustration, but consider the survival strategy of desert plants. It is easy to accept our perceptions, and disparage alien thought.
