I seem to be getting more and more forgetful, went to my truck today to get a part for a job, by the time I got maybe 2 min. I couldn't remember what I went after. It's happening more often every day.

I hear ya. I have cognitive decline thanks to lupus, which vastly amuses some people, and sometimes me. But not always. For stuff like forgetting what you went to get, try repeating it as you walk to go get it. You'll feel like an idiot, especially if others are around, but it works. Eventually you'll not care about what others think and will start singing it. LOL "I'm going to my white truck for water, wa wa wa wa water! La la la la water!"
One thing for sure - nobody will mess with you by that point. Except friends. Others? They stay away. They skeered of the crazy person! ;-)

I think it is rather common for folks past a certain age (perhaps 50) to go into a room and then not be able to remember why they went into the room. Sleep apnea can also affect memory.

My mom died from the affects of Alzheimer's disease, and so I live in fear my memory will fade away before my body gives up the spirit. I would say, keep walking, keep an active mind, and continue to interact with others. All the best...

I carry a little notepad and pen and write stuff down.

Problem: sometimes I forget what I was gonna write down by the time i get the notepad out.

Two questions spring to mind, did the on-set of your memory failures occur before or after you started using your CPAP?

Second question, how long ago did you have your last sleep study? My machines lost effectiveness as I aged (probably due to my neck breaking down with time) and so the pressure had to be increased.

I have to write my self notes, and have done so for years. Even then, I forget.
