Prayers for the church and all involved.

Unfortunately after what's gone on in North Charleston, I told folks to expect something like this before the year was over because it would be consistent with what happened during slavery and Jim Crow.

    Sad. History does repeat.

    :praying:

don't you think those "terrorist" police officers looking for the guy ought to be jerked off the case?

Charleston terrorist reveals his motive: ‘You rape our women and you’re taking over our country — and you have to go’

A survivor says a man who killed three men and six women at a historic South Carolina black church reloaded five times during the massacre and offered a chilling statement of his motives.

The white man in his early 20s opened fire on a prayer service Wednesday night inside Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, killing Pastor Rev. Clementa Pinckney – who is also a state senator – and eight other congregants.

The lawmaker’s cousin said the shooter came into the church and sat next to Pinckney through the service and started shooting when it concluded.

A survivor told reporters that the gunman reloaded five times during the massacre and ignored the pleas of one man to reconsider killing the worshipers.

“You rape our women and you’re taking over our country — and you have to go,” the terrorist said, according to a survivor.

Investigators released surveillance camera images of the gunman, who is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, with light brown hair in a bowl cut.

Police said he was wearing a distinctive sweatshirt and driving a vehicle with a distinctive license plate, although they did not elaborate details about either.

Authorities believe he is still in the Charleston area.

Police are investigating the massacre as a hate crime.

More racist hatred in this sinful world. If this guy gets taken alive, I'm confident his defense team will try the insanity plea. The above excerpt should demonstrate that he knew exactly what he was doing, with premeditation. How can anyone sit thru the entire service waiting to commit these murders? (How can anyone commit them at all? Hatred personified)

I pray that somehow, far beyond my understanding, God will be glorified in the aftermath.

We can hope and pray it will change the hearts of some who are currently racist and hate filled.

All crime is hate.....9 Christians killed should be the headline. What does it matter if it was a White, Hispanic, Black or Asian? I bet you Al the snake Sharpton will somehow milk this horrible crime to line his pockets.

Unfortunately, the media will likely obsess about the motives of the gunman, as if figuring out the motives of a sick mind will make sense of the violence.

There is no justification for the murder of innocents in a house of worship.

I pray this guy is stopped ASAP, by any means necessary, and no one else is harmed by his actions.

Al the "evil snake" Sharpton is probably rejoicing. As this kind of crime fans the flames of racial divide all across the nation. Or maybe ISISI America sees this as a chance to drive a huge steak through the heart of racial equality and harmony.

This event smells like set up, and I hope investigations will e pose the truth behind the senseless killing. Yet these type of killings killings are being seen around the world in acts of terrorists.

    It definitely will not.

I pray that he is captured alive. No need for loss of another life.

I would support a federal civil rights trial, after the state murder one. Not a hate crime, but a violation of the civil rights of all the worshippers.

I have pledged today to be praying for the family members of those killed - especially the little girl who is alive only because her grandmother told her to "play dead".

These family member NEED our prayers and we NEED to pray.

I'm sure that they are feeling a range of things from fear to anger to grief and yes, even to hate itself. I would be.

Yes, 99% of murders are hate crimes no matter the racial make-up involved, but I can't concentrate on that today. My heart is hurting for these people and right now, I can only pray for them.

According to a CNN alert I received a few minutes ago, we have both had our prayers answered.

The living and survivors of the shooting suffer tremendously. In the aftermath of the Wedgwood Church murders here in Fort Worth on September 15, 1999, the survivors had enormous difficulty processing what had happened, why they were still alive, and sorting out their lives afterward without the presence of their friends and family.

Consider the cost/benefit analysis of shooting him down, as opposed to bringing him to a trial that might take a couple of years even to begin, followed by incarcerations, appeals (and who will pay for all his shysters?), I see a "need." And that doesn't even yet consider "the man who sheds the blood of man-- by man shall his blood be shed."

We may never get to the bottom of why this guy went uber-psychotic, but with his being taken alive the odds of gaining that understanding became greater than zero, at least.

    Mercy said no!!

In addition to praying for the families, and that city, I will pray for this baby too because he didn't get to this line of thinking by himself.[IMG]

Written all over his words is the conservative talk propaganda of those on the racist and racially prejudiced right.

This is what happens when the majority demonize and marginalize the lives of anyone who doesn't look and think like them.

As I said before, this harkens to the Birmingham, Alabama church. History repeats itself because God's people are letting wickedness go unchecked just as they did with slavery and Jim Crow.
