Yep, he was bred by the Republican Right as it continues to spew the same old stereotypes.

You could have titled your thread "Cruz returns donation given by hate monger" and it would have been equally true. It would not have served your purpose but it would still be true.

You looking for a fight today or something? Check your own heart. I titled the thread, as I have close to 100% of the time, after what the AUTHOR of the article titled it.

    So what's YOUR purpose?

    Bullseye! :applause:

Paul’s campaign said it will donate the $1,750 it received from Earl P. Holt III, the president of the St. Louis-based Council of Conservative Citizens, to the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund.

Democrats and other liberals will use the donation to insinuate Paul harbors racist sentiments.

Seems like the old "guilt by association" fallacy is as popular as ever on Baptist Board.

He returned it only after it was exposed that he had received their donation. It does not say he refused it when it was first offered.

Regardless, what is it about Cruz that would attract money from such an organization?

What is it about the organization that would give money to republican candidates?

Makes me wonder if the "Council of Conservative Citizens" is working for the DNC and Media Matters.

That used to be known as asking the obvious questions.

Seems mighty convenient that a "white supremacist" group would be giving money to republican candidates just when the "libbies" race baiting campaign is starting to get stale.

Good question CTB. Birds of a feather...
But I removed him from even possible consideration when I found out he's in the pocket of billionaire hedge fund CEO, Robert Mercer.

C'mon you've been around here long enough to know legitimate questions aren't allowed.

This is the politics forum man get with it only party talking points and other forms of creating division are considered worthy of discussion.

I have white privilege. I didn't know there were rules. If there are rules I didn't know they applied to me. Will I get white guilt next? :wavey:

Don't know about white guilt but you'll lose all your Baptist Board credibility if you don't stick to the mainstream script!

    So stick to the script!

That's not a question. I know what you were doing and you know what you were attempting to do. So save the denials.

Zaac is like a lot of leftists. He'd rather lie, even when the truth will work just as well.

Probably something similar to the same reason foreigners contribute to Obama and the Clintons.

Except to sell out your country is treasonous and that's of no consequence to leftists.

    Let me rephrase that then:

Could you have titled your thread "Cruz returns donation given by hate monger" and would it have been equally true?

There were two facts in the OP. That white supremacy feller gave money to Cruz's campaign. That is fact one. Cruz's campaign gave it back. That is fact two. You chose to emphasize the first fact. I prefer to focus on the latter. No fights, no troubling undertones, no hidden agenda.

And my point again is I didn't title it. I posted the title that the AUTHOR gave it.
