Today marks what could be considered one of the most controversial days in the history of the United States of America. If you haven’t heard, the Supreme Court has decided that same-sex marriage is now a Constitutional right and that traditional marriage between one man and one woman is no longer the definition of marriage.

There is one state (and if you have read my articles before, you know which one I’m talking about) that is already leading the way, in essence combating SCOTUS and their disastrous decision. Of course, I’m talking about the Lone Star State.

In a directive issued in the last few hours, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has informed all those agencies that they are to comply with the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, Article I of the Texas Constitution, and the Texas Religious Freedom Act. In other words, he just shut down same-sex marriage in Texas and ordered everyone to preserve the religious liberties and First Amendment rights of all Texans.

Wait till some county clerk refuses to issue a same sex marriage license on religious grounds.

Since the Supremes declared specifically that no one would be forced to violate their religious beliefs, what will courts do when that clerk is sued?

And it will happen. The stage is set.

It's a known fact that the lesbian mayor of Houston has been persecuting pastors and threatening them with legal action if they preach that homosexual acts are a sin.

She was forced to back off. This decision will embolden her once again.

It won't happen like this. Clerks aren't hired because of their religious beliefs. If they don't won't to work, then quit or beter yet fire them and put somebody in the office who will do the job they were hired to do.

If clerks want to protest, then do so on their own time. But if they don't do what they were hired to do, then YOU'RE FIRED.

If you don't want to serve alcohol then don't be a bartender.

It will happen exactly like that. Again.

The Supreme Court will then be held up as liars just like Obama.

You can say it all you want. But a clerk's religious liberty doesn't give them the right to not do their job especially after taking an oath of office.

Find another line of work asap if they're gonna have a problem doing what the law requires them to do.

That wasn't the case with some Indian who was hired as a cop and sued to have to cut his hair according to regulations. And there are many sabbatarians who job does require work on the sabbath, but they cannot be required to do so. Do we have religious liberty objections in employment, or don't we?
