The judge is an arrogant moron.

I am not sure the judge did the right thing based on the report in the op but it is interesting to see a judge in favor of the father for a change.

"Moron" is right. How do you "order" somebody to have a healthy relationship?

I've been involved in family counselling for twenty years and step number one to restoring a relationship damaged by abuse is putting the abuse on the table and dealing with it. The judge seems to be unwilling to acknowledge the abuse.

Of course, there's the other side of the story:

There's more. Feel free to read the whole article. I don't have an opinion; as far as I know, it's a "he says/she says" thing.

What type of father allows their children to be incarcerated for this reason?

Yes the parents are fighting each other no surprise there but the judge is way out of line to punish the kids because their parents can't get along. No judge can order kids to have healthy relationship with anyone. And it would seem that if he thought their was contempt of court it should be the mother not the kids who should be paying the price.
I can tell you this that the judge just cemented in those kids minds that their dad doesn't care about them. He just sabotaged whatever relationship those kids may have had with their dad in the future.

Yep. The father should have backed off at that point for his kids' sake. At least there may have been the hope for a later future with them.

Instead, the judge now ordered a short (days) therapy program that sounds a lot more like brainwashing than therapy. Appears they are holed up in a hotel with dad and therapists for this "program," after which the dad gets sole temporary custody for 90 days?
    Very very odd.

From the info on this thread, both parents sound like the woman who, before Solomon, was content having the baby be cut in half.

Allegations and abuse and cultism are the weapons of choice when those wanting to leave a relationship desire justification for doing so. True or not, people are too willing to believe lies of this nature.

Aaron, read the court documents. Whatever your personal thoughts are, there is still no excuse for constutional rights violations or judicial wrongdoing.
