This is really a simple question! Do you think our military, or what's left of it, has the courage to seize control of this nation and displace the president, or even arrest him for treason for not doing what he swore an oath to do?

I do not believe the question in the op is appropriate for discussion on a Christian board. It is my view this thread should be shut down.

The "courage"?!? To commit treason?!? Are you insane?!?

You may not like or agree with the president -- but a military that overturns its government ... well, I guess you're more trusting than I am that such a military would give it back to the civilians....

RD2, this really was a poorly thought out question.

My apologies, but it should be asked. And for Rev it is a political topic. Granted not something most want to broach, but there are those talking about this within the churches.

I am sorry if this question upsets anyone, but there are a ton of things happening in America that suggest an under current of discontent. We weathered a civil war, and I'm sure the mere talk of such an event upset people back than, too! As a believer, there is a need to look at things and ask what if?

Thanks, Don. I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Your question is borderline treasonous and is very dangerous. Go sit in the corner for the next few months and no more posting.

I think it is inappropriate to question the courage of our military who has been embroiled in combat for over 10 years in two different hostile countries.

I think it is inappropriate that these are things being discussed in churches as you claim.

    Agreed.

But it would take an entirely different type of "courage" to participate in taking over DC and arresting a lawless president.

But, as I said, it won't happen.

It took courage to remove the English from America. The war that led to our freedom! Sure that was treasonous, to the Brits and the King. But, there were men who felt the King, taxes and England had to go!

Legal provision has been made for the removal of the Chief Executive. It is called Impeachment. What you hope for is a coup.

No where have I indicated that I "hoped"for a coup. I simply asked if this was remotely possible here in America? It is beyond belief how people like you can read something into nothing there? :BangHead:

Puh-leeze....you asked if the military had the "courage" to remove Obama for "his treason". That's a strong hint that you would approve of such a measure.

Your writing lacks clarity, don't get upset when people don't understand you completely.

Since when did hypothetical questions become against the rules?

Or something that shouldn't be posted on BB?

If one doesn't want to answer the hypothetical question, then , OK, move on and get over it.

    sheesh:rolleyes:

"People Like Me" understand what a person posts from the words of the poster.

I have bolded your words that suggest that you hope for such a coup:
