The problem is what do you do with millions og people illegally living here? It would be as costly to return them as it would be near impossible based on the sheer numbers, to round them ALL up and send then back.

So what should we do, better yet, if you were suddenly named president, what course of action would you map out and who would you have implement it?

I could also ask- should all murderers be put in prison?

But the short answer to your question is YES

So what is the answer ?

    A) NO public assistance to illegals
(exception - medical care to save life or limb- than a free trip to the border)
    B) No Bank accounts
    C) No Education - beginning with Kindergarten
    D) No Drivers license
    E)

Why not do the legal paper thing on discovery......then you can TAX them like everyone else? The current situation is creating a resentful underclass....after all they have moved in order to have a better life or create one for their children. After all, most folk originally came from someplace else....in order to create a better life!

What Salty said and you could end the anchor baby loophole.

The illegal immigrants are overwhelming our social services and taking jobs away from American citizens, not to mention all the billions of dollars they are sending home annually. Many of their "papers" are fraudulent, seeing that identity theft is rampant among them. They can resent away but I think we should adopt the immigration policies of Mehico.

Yes, it will be a very costly mess to clean up, but far more costly, and "costly" in more than just money, if we don't.

First time, you're deported. Second time, you go to jail, then you're deported.

As president, I would not take the liberties Obama has done with the law (no pun intended). I wouldn't be able to ignore laws, but regulatory and cabinet agencies would be under my authority, which means I would have the authority to change or abolish regulations.

My pledge would be, if it's not in the Constitution, I'm not doing it. I don't care what precedents have been set. I don't care what case law says. I would be reigned in by the Constitution.

Day one: Sign an executive order negating all of Obama's executive orders.

Sign an executive order ordering all regulatory agencies and all agencies that could not be directly traced to Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution to cease operations and stand down immediately.

I would order Homeland Security to begin searching and arresting border criminals.

That would effectively shut down about 90% of the liberty leeches.

Next, I would meet with governors, mayors, and sheriffs and try to mend fences with the states. I would ask them for help arresting and holding border criminals, while assuring those who do not, that I will order all agencies under my authority to offer only the minimum amount of aid, monetarily or professionally, as the law allows until they cooperate.

I would sign an executive order issuing a moratorium on all legal immigration, particularly that from Muslim countries.

I would next sign an executive order prohibiting Muslims, border criminals and homosexuals from the military.

Obviously, all federal programs that serve border criminals would be abolished. And all government forms would be printed in English only.

I would order my Justice Department to conduct a full investigation into Barrack Obama's involvement with radical political and Muslim groups, a full audit and investigation into Hillary Clinton's actions as Secretary of State, as well as the "Clinton Foundation", a full investigation and audit of Planned Parenthood and the Federal Reserve, and I would tell the UN that, although I do not have the authority to kick them out, we will no longer be footing the bill or cooperating with them.

I would order my law enforcement agencies to not prosecute any firearms related case that infringes on the right of otherwise law abiding citizens.

Next, I would go to Israel and get down on my hands and knees and beg forgiveness.

I would give Chris Kyle a posthumous Medal of Honor, not only for his heroism in Iraq, but for beating the skubulon out of Jesse Ventura and, in the spirit of Thomas Jefferson, issue "letters of marque" to any group that wants to go and fight ISIS and Al Queda.

I would remove any federal restriction on oil exploration, drilling, production, and pipelines.

    Bull skubulon!

They came here knowing that, coming here illegally, they couldn't have a good life. They knew they couldn't get a good job. They knew they couldn't buy a house. For goodness' sake, they can't even speak English.

They came here for one reason: To sponge off us working people and to take advantage of our huge welfare state.

Frankly I wouldn't even send them back to their own countries. I'd put them in planes, strap some static line parachutes to them, and drop them over China. Let them be somebody else's problem. China floods our markets with cheap goods and led filled food. Let's send them something in return.

A recent Pew report says that illegal immigrants - especially from Mexico - are uneducated and unskilled.

People in Mexico with a good education and good working skills don't enter the U.S. illegally - mostly their undesirables and criminals do.

BTW - The New Zealand immigration website says that a person has to have a demonstratable skill in high demand to even apply for a work visa.

However, we came here legally. BTW - I see you are from New Zealand, and it is my understanding that your country has tight border control and strict laws on illegals! So if that is true, why should America be any different than New Zealand or Australia?

Either you aren't familiar with your own country immigration laws, or you are being hypocritical!

actually there is a difference. Not that hard to swim from Mexico to Tx, via the Rio Grande.

Little bit harder to swim from Mexico to New Zealand

They only came here because New Zealand won't take them. They are kiwis at heart.
