The Hyde Amendment prohibits federal dollars from being used to fund abortions.

According to Wikipedia( accept it or not), Planned Parenthood of America performs roughly 300,000---yes 300,000 abortions annually.:tear: JESUS!

Now this added wickedness of harvesting and selling the "tissues" of these babies.

Now all that aside, have they broken the law? While the sale of fetal tissue for profit is illegal, abortion providers can legally be reimbursed for the costs of processing and transporting the samples. Yes disgusting, but not illegal.

So if they have broken no laws and no one has proven that they have broken any laws, why has the GOP put a target on them and is looking to "defund" them for obeying the law???

Why aren't pro-life Christians in the GOP not going after Microsoft and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, even thought they ,likewise, asked that their donations not be used to fund abortions?

Why not go after Warren Buffet and the Buffet Foundation, who support the using of their donations for abortion.

Why are Christians still doing business with Berkshire Hathaway or any of the companies of which it owns a large share: GEICO, BNSF, Lubrizol, Dairy Queen, Fruit of the Loom, Helzberg Diamonds, FlightSafety International, and NetJets, Kraft Heinz Company, and an undisclosed percentage of Mars, Incorporated, and has significant minority holdings in American Express, The Coca-Cola Company, Wells Fargo, IBM and Restaurant Brands International.

    What about the Ford Foundation?
    What about The Rockefeller Foundation?
    What about the Turner Foundation?

Some of the largest companies in the country are supporting PP. So why are we supporting them?

    Who says we aren't?

Unfortunately the media has a tendency to be unable to articulate nuance and often do not cover things completely.

Edited to add: I'll also add this, we can't do much about private donors as they are, in fact, private citizens. We can demand an entirely different thing from public, elected officials with public funds.

    Are we?

That doesn't make much sense though. It would seem that we should be able to do much more in opposition to the private companies as they depend on us to purchase/use their goods or services whereas the government just takes the money.

    Your premise is wrong.

They are selling human bodies for profit.

    Stop defending them.

I do not and will not do business with any company that supports them - financially or otherwise.

    Can you say the same?

Or will you just make excuses?

Thank you. And this list is exactly my point. Planned Parenthood has a LOT of well known BIG donors.

Are we gonna boycott all these guys until they stop supporting the annual murder of 300,000 babies?

Seriously? Do you just try to be obstinate no matter what the issue is?

You need to ask yourself that.

I can be outraged at Planned Parenthood and still drink a coke. I'm not going to throw my Verizon phone in the trash.

A few of these companies on your list have in the past week removed themselves from Planned Parenthood - you might want to check that.

Boycotting does not work for corporations this size. Christians have boycotted DisneyLand/World, Starbucks, PepsiCo, Oreo, General Mills, JC Penney, McDonald's, Amazon, and many, many more corporations that are thriving wildly despite objections to their belief systems from the Christian world.

What seems to have helped in some cases is outing these corporations and their ties to PP. Some have enough of a conscience to be humiliated. I'm sure that a lot of these companies including many that you didn't list including the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer's Association that support embryonic stem cell research believe that they are supporting breast cancer research or women's health issues.

I feel confident that none of these companies said to themselves in their board meetings, "Hey! Let's give monies to Planned Parenthood because we hate babies and they kill them!"

Now that the truth is out via these videos, it's as Brit Hume says, "The moral case for allowing such [unborn lives] to be killed grows ever weaker and its advocates resort to ever more absurd euphemisms to describe what they support."

The truth - in uncontestable video testimony - seems to be jarring at least a handful of these corporations at the head.

Now, if one of these companies were to claim support of "research" using aborted fetal organs AFTER these videos have come out - in other words defending the actions of PP in the videos, then I might not do business with them again.

But my lack of business with them won't make a dent in their armor.

Still makes no sense. We want the government to stop funding it when the government funds can't even be used for abortion, but seem to be kinda "ho hum" about these companies funding it who haven't set any stipulations on their donations.
