Heart surgery

    I realise I have not posted here in over a year and many of you don't know me by now, but I think I have enough friends here who may pray for me in my current physical need.

    Despite a major weight loss and regular exercise programme and low cholesterol levels I was recently diagnosed with major blockages in three arteries. They are too big to stint so am facing open heart surgery. I am waiting for the surgical consult to decide what needs to be done.

    Meanwhile I am in CCU 'patiently' waiting for my procedure.

    its a piece of cake ...went thru it myself. Downside--your gonna have to take it easy for 3 months. Positive: you will feel much better after you heal up. I will hold you in my prayers.

    We do need them in sickness and in health.
    It is that your Irish accent coming out? ;-)

    EW&F mentioned that you would probably feel much better afterwards. Well, right now I am sure you have some pain and general discomfort to go through. But eventually you might be in better health than before.

    A friend of mine had heart surgery about a dozen years ago and that old blood pump worked much more efficiently as a result of the surgery.

    I have finally been able to log back in. I am 8 weeks post-op and after a brief setback with a build-up of fluid around my heat I am feeling much better. Now trying to get all the meds balanced and sorted.
