    Trump talked politics with Bill Clinton weeks before launching 2016 bid


    Former president Bill Clinton had a private telephone conversation in late spring with Donald Trump at the same time that the billionaire investor and reality-television star was nearing a decision to run for the White House, according to associates of both men.

    Four Trump allies and one Clinton associate familiar with the exchange said that Clinton encouraged Trump’s efforts to play a larger role in the Republican Party and offered his own views of the political landscape.

    I don't think Trump is the total answer - but he certainly would take care of some of the problems.

    and the problem? As a businessman, Trump was all the info to make informed decisions. If Clinton had some good advice - than take advantage of it.

    Who says that Bill wants Hillary to be President?

    Actually, this was a smart move by Trump. Although I disagreed with him on issues Bill Clinton was the best at playing the political game I've seen in my lifetime. Yes, better than Reagan. Getting his advice on how to play the game is smart.

    Now, my take on your thread:

    For those that believe Trump is the answer:

    If you thought the attacks on Romney for being an out of touch, rich old white businessman that took advantage of his workers and plundered other businesses was excessive, well, that was just the warm up act for Trump.

    Conversely, if Romney had had the brass appendages of Trump, and used them as Trump has so far, today we might be wondering if Romney was going for a 2nd term, rather than now hoping another Dim doesn't reign next term!!
