Apartheid Cuba devoid of human rights.

After filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Chicago Police Department (CPD), The Guardian has discovered over 3,600 people have been detained at a secure facility known as Homan Square. Notorious for allegedly denying access to defense attorneys and committing human rights abuses, the officers at this CIA-style black site have been accused of coercing confessions, committing torture, and shackling detainees for prolonged periods. Although the CPD has denied these accusations, the department has been marred with a history of abuse and corruption.

On February 24, The Guardian exposed a police detention facility in Chicago where arrestees were kept out of official booking databases, denied legal representation, and endured hours of physical and psychological abuse. After the CPD ignored several FOIA requests regarding their facility at Homan Square, The Guardian filed a lawsuit against the department in April requesting further information, including the number of people detained at Homan Square and video evidence of interrogations at the site.

Everyone knows you keep saying that while you defend some of the worst human rights violators on the planet.

If you really cared about human rights you'd be defending all human rights from every violator. But you don't.

You pick and choose which human's right are important and which aren't based on your own anti Russian biases. No one has ever heard you calling for an end to the murder and rape of Russian speaking Ukrainian citizens by the illegally installed government there.

You won't even answer a question I asked to see if you could recognize the difference between a Russian and a Russian speaking Ukrainian citizen.

Evidently you believe they are all worthy of the pain and suffering inflicted on them by the illegally installed coup government that claims authority over their lives and the land they have lived on for generations.

And that just goes to show how empty and shallow your "champion of human rights" act really is.

 

Get over yourself. You only care about human rights when you can blame the Russians for violating them.

You got "da russophobia" in a bad way CMG. It's blinded you to all the other violations of human rights around the world. Even those going on right under your nose in your own country.

 

It would appear that since the current administration has now extended full diplomatic ties to the ruthless Castro's Cuba, the US has again opened up a major highway for that bloody administration to again proceed to spread its lethal methods, not only in Central & South America, but also right here in the USA.

While some may have questioned Cuba's role in the killing of JFK back in 1963, even the FBI, the CIA, and the US Congressional special investigators that were tasked to search for any ties between itself and the Mafia, none of them have concluded that Castro's administration was not at some level being used to not only kill JFK, but also to kill other anti-Castro individuals not only within the borders of the USA, but also other people living outside our nation's borders [which were most likely a lot less porous a half century ago than they now are]. This would also extend to an array of organizations as well.

One needs to recall that Lee Harvey Oswald married a woman whose ties not only to the Soviet dictatorship were well known, but also her connections to other individuals and groups have been called into question as well.

Many people tend to forget that some within the Dallas TX County may have had similar ties to the underworld such that they "accidentally" forgot to boost Oswald's bodyguards once he was under the Dallas County Sheriff's Departments so-called protection once they arrested him [which itself has been called into question as to why the TX state school board--in which Oswald was able to gain employment even though he failed to meet a plethora of requirements since he was already under surveillance by several other criminal investigative at both the state level as well as the FBI--to wit, he was allowed to enter restricted areas of the TX schoolbook repository building which overlooked the plaza through which JFK's motorcade was to go. [The fact that Oswald was even allowed know where the presidential motorcade would be routed is also a mystery since by law that information isn't supposed to be given to ANYONE not specifically tasked to secure that area {much less a person who's already under FBI surveillance!}].

And just who gave the permission to bury Oswald's remains in a secret burial which was kept off limits to the media without even a cursory autopsy leaves even more questions unanswered.

Just how was Jack Ruby, a person with known ties to the underworld was able to break through Oswald's supposed bodyguard detail and come so close to what then would have been classified as "America's Most Violent Detainee" is still fairly an unknown question.

There's still a bunch of questions that are still unanswered regarding JFK's killing some 50+ years ago.

Periodically there's been attempts to re-investigate the details of that tragic November, 1963, incident, but for some strange reason(s), they've all been unable to investigate very deeply into this incident. Why this has been so, nobody is willing to let us know why the death of the President of the US, the leader of our Executive Branch and the titular head of the Western World still remains much of a mystery today.

Unfortunately, just about all the major figures who could tell us at least their particular role(s) in this killing of our nation's president are themselves dead--and thus incapable of supplying us with many invaluable details of this incident which many cite as the most world-shaking crime of the 20th Century.
