There is no epidemic in fact police related deaths are down. Neither will the American people put up with nationalization of police. It aint going to happen.

This was rape. The lady was handcuffed and told them she didn't have any underwear on. Yet they held her down and forced her legs apart by the side of the road in view of everybody and searched her vaginal cavity.

The entire world should be outraged.

Oh if only she had just cooperated.

Nothing but the same old marginalization and an attempt to deflect from what the police are doing.

I think that Zaac would do well to take a little time off from here...

Perhaps it would better be spent in prayer.

Not really because this is what happens so often. Some folks have got this Pollyanna view of the police. They complain about big government, but refuse to recognize that these crazed, out of control police actions are setting us up for a bigger big government.

They will believe anything bad about the government, but refuse to put the police in there with the government.

I think some might have some sort of family connection to the police that prevents them from seeing how crazy things have gotten.

Not all people necessarily “love” their current government, but many citizens tend to see the idea of government as an inevitability of a stable society. They assume pre-eminence of the state because they have never known anything else. Not only that, but as people separate into political and ideological factions, often based on false paradigms (such as the false left/right paradigm), they covet government as a kind of tool or weapon that can be used for “the greater good” if only their side had total control of it. Very few people in this world want to shrink government down to a manageable size comparable to that which existed just after the American Revolution, and even fewer would entertain the idea of erasing central governments entirely. The allure of the federalized state as a means to impose ideological control over others is intoxicating.

    http://www.alt-market.com/articles/2669-freedom-and-central-planning-can-never-coexist

In this case I would change a couple words in the last sentence.

"The allure of a militarized police state as a means to impose ideological control over others is intoxicating."

That highlighted part is very telling. reminds me of what you quoted in the "Cops kill every 8 hours" thread when you said
That's what I'm seeing from folks. as long as they feel as though the police are under their control and on their side, they are okay with their actions.

But as soon as that changes, and it will change, let's see what the story becomes.

It looks like you're being accused of not being as desensitized to the lawlessness and corruption in the government (including police) as the general or what some folks would consider the "normal" part of the population Zaac.

    How do you plead?

The life of my Uncle, an Illinois Police Officer killed by the offender (who shot him multiple times, then executed him with a shot to the head) while responding to a break-in, mattered.

Politeness prevents me from posting further.

Rolf, my sincerest prayers about your family concerning your uncle.

But here's the thing. No one with good sense has EVER said that ALL lives did not matter. No one with good sense has ever said that the lives of officers did not matter.

As I've repeated an example given before by a poster to which the naysayers obviously found fault, nobody ever told the Susan G. Komen organization that all cancers matter when their focus has been on breast cancer.

Some white people( and I specify white people because they are the ones who want to marginalize the black lives of which the black lives matters folks have chosen to focus) have a problem with the black lives matter slogan because they have a problem with black people period.

Like a certain person in this thread, they want to marginalize the lives upon which the black lives matter people wanted to focus by bringing up something no one has disputed.

Of course they matter too. But they aren't the ones being murdered unarmed again and again by the police.

We know that police officers die in the line of duty. They know that when they sign up.

But unless you're Black, the average person doesn't leave their house thinking I might just get killed by a police officer today.

But bringing up "blue lives matter" as well as your uncle's murder does nothing more than attempt to deflect from the FACT that a large number of police officers in this country are out of control.

poncho has given example after example and certain people still can't acknowledge that there is a serious problem.

I mean seriously. We're okay with the police pulling a woman's pants down and performing a vaginal cavity search in front of everyone?

    This is ludicrous.

And that certain people continue to try to deflect from the pure wickedness of what's going on speaks to the wickedness in their hearts.

Does a problem have to be serious before we realize it's a problem?

How serious does a problem have to get before we realize it's a problem and start looking for real solutions instead of solutions that makes us feel more secure or more valuable (exceptional?) than others?
