    Once again, brother Squire, the French owe a small debt to the American military and its citizens. This was an awesome act by the three "Yanks!" :thumbsup:

    However, it was the Frenchman who was shot taking the initial action.

    We always think of the French as being so anti-American, but these events show a different side, and they have been very generous in their thanks. We are after all allies in many ways.

    There was no Frenchman who was shot. A Frenchman had encountered the gunman, but did not take any action.

    An American, Mark Moogalian, was the first person who took action and wrestled the AK-47 out of the hands of the terrorist. He was shot with a pistol for his trouble.

    I believe you're referring to Mark Moogalian. Who in the report below is identifies as "Franco-American".

    His identity was not revealed until yesterday the 24th. At the time of my original post (the 23rd), he was being referred to as an "unidentified Frenchman".
