I found this just one more piece of validation that this economy is not running on all eight cylinders. More like one, maybe two? However, far short of eight!

When the conservative media reports that jobs are scarce and that the unemployed far outnumbers the employed or under employed here in America, the liberals scoff, and point to the inflated and conflated numbers released by the same administration that has the audacity to tell us one day before Paris is attacked by terrorists, that we have the bad guys "confined!"

Why should anyone believe anything coming out of Obama's mouth?! He seems l to lack a true sense of reality! If he wants to live in lala land, let him, but these kinds of newspaper articles tells the truth about the economy here in America!

Do you think America's economy and especially the employment scene is really improving? Or is it pure fiction, bordering on science fiction?

Too many Americans are too lazy to go to school and gain the skills needed to get decent jobs. Get off your lazy tushes, go to school, gain the skills you need. There are plenty of jobs out there for folk who have the skills. Stay lazy, stay uneducated and life is going to be tough.

This laziness is a particularly wide spread disease among American men. Just look at graduate schools and see how women outnumber men and how many foreign students there are in those programs.

Stop crying and whining. Get the skills and the jobs will come looking for you.

So it is not obama's fault it is the entire rest of the countries fault. Always someone else to blame.

Graduate schools cost lots of money. Unlike obama people are not in a hurry to go into debt. Most folks do not have 50,000.00 sitting around to put into a graduate degree.

oooorrrrrr.......we could have a government that gets out of the way of free enterprise and let this country start manufacturing things again. But heck that would cause too much global warming wouldn't it. After all we have far to many cows farting out there we can't afford any more co2 gasses in their air.

By the way no one is crying and whining these are real people who have real lives who have lost their jobs. Just ask the coal people in KY and Virginia. Of course you are all compassionate when it comes to foreigners who might be terrorists dressed up as displaced Syrians but like Obama when it comes to Americans your so called compassion is out the door much like is displayed by you in this post.

Honestly you look like you hate Americans as much as Obama does.

You found a story about a poor suburb of LA that is having a new business open its door inside the city limits, probably the first one in years. You do know that Aldi's Stores is the lowest cost grocery store chain in America, right? This suburb has an unemployment rate 33% higher than the US average and a per capita income 36% lower than average. Of course there will be a clamor for jobs, any jobs in this area of LA.

    Couple of things:

    1. You admit there is a conservative media. LOL.
    2. Do you really want us to believe you when you say the unemployed far outnumber the employed? Seriously, you wrote that? Links to the evidence please...

Please provide us with a link by a credible source that shows the employment rate is deteriorating. I'd also like to see your evidence that the unemployed outnumber the employed and/or underemployed.

Your man in the WH is the reason there so many "Lazy, tushes" laying around and not working! Why work when you can get all the benefits, including a phone to text with, medical insurance, WIC, food stamps, transportation assistance, HUD, welfare and unending 9at least it seems that way) unemployment?

Your many could have and should have started a retraining program immediately after the recession ended. Something like CETA and for the youth, SYEP, would have gotten those lazy tushes off the coach and back to learning how to fend for themselves. Instead, your man has fed them pablum and now they are forever hooked on the government paid pablum, and it will take a miracle of sorts to get them motivated again!

When 27,000 people apply for 100 jobs, that squashes your theory. Americans want to work, there are just no jobs for them to work at! Next time read the article CTB, and you can avoid wasting cyber space with useless words that only prove you are far out of touch with reality!

Those are conflated numbers, created to make things look more robust than they are! But I give you credit for finding these charts! This does not take into account the unemployed that gave up looking for jobs, the UNDERemployed, and the growing number of welfare recipients under Obama's watchful eye!

The numbers are used by all branches of government and both political parties. They are the official numbers.

The charts take all of that into account. The unemployed that quit looking for work are shown in the labor participation rate chart, the underemployed are shown in the Underemployed Chart, and welfare recipients are not necessarily connected with unemployment.

Oh bull dung. CTB specifically referred to the individual's own initiative in life. Obama or Hillary or Soros or any other leftist has zilch to do with whether anyone worth their salt is lazy or not.

You extreme rightwingers want to blame the extreme leftists for all our woes, the extreme leftists want to blame the extreme rightwingers for all our woes.

This time around Crabby spoke the simple truth.

You are partially correct .... "simple" is true! "Truth" is lacking. CTB seems to lack the ability to be truthful when it comes to Obooma!

It actually doesn't need to cost that much. Make good grades in college and choose a good field for your graduate degree. My daughter's doctorate in audiology will cost her a grand total of $35,000 although if she keeps getting work study, that might actually be less since she is eligible for $5,000 of work study just this semester!! She's working hard at $16 an hour to get that full benefit. When she graduates from school, there is a 100% employment rate within 3 months of graduation for her program and starting salary is $75,000. The loans she has will be able to be paid off in less than 5 years from our calculations.

Yep. This is not that unusual either. Students with good grades in a high demand field of study will be just fine.

I was shocked at the starting salaries of many college graduates I know. The lowest one was $49,000 a year for an accounting job. That comes with a full package of benefits and automatic raises with certifications.

These stories of students in debt up to their ears are usually about kids that went to private colleges and didn't have much for scholarships. Even so, a student debt of $50,000 for a single person making $60,000 to $75,000 is quite manageable.
