I am first and foremost, asking for prayer for my sister and her husband, who have been directly affected by this mass murder today. My brother-in-law is currently in the hospital CCU waiting for a quad by pass surgery (it was supposed to take place today or tomorrow, and right now I am unable to contact my sister, or family members, which concerns me), and this is the hospital that numerous injured were taken to, including the wounded officer.

The event hit too close to home today, folks, and should this turn out to be a terror event, it is even more concerning.

And what irks me is our POTUS continues to push his control of guns following this event, and weather. Does anyone else besides me, think Obama needs to get a clue.

That surgery has been firmly scheduled for Friday! Things have been very tight in and around the hospital all day! Cell phone messaging, both in and out was being scrambled. My sister finally got home and emailed all of us that things were crazy, but they are all right!

It is scary to think that this can hit so close to home! It is a new America and a new world. I think this will become something we will have to learn to live with here, just like in Israel and other mid-East nations! Do you feel the same?

Lock and load and carry. Be ready. No matter where you live. The government will not and cannot protect you, especially when they refuse to even recognize and articulate who the enemy is.

Is carrying a handgun really gonna do much against assault weapons? I know some chance is better than no chance. But is there really anything that can be done to prevent this? Folks keep talking about gun control. But what on earth does any of this have to do with gun control? I could understand if you had a bunch of registered gun holders shooting each other. But what will gun legislation do to ameliorate serial gun shootings? Just dumb!

No. But , as you say, it's better than nothing.
Disarming law abiding citizens certainly will not stop mass killings.

As for what all this has to do with gon control, you'll have to ask Obama and his leftist friends. That's the first words that come out of his mouth whenever a nutcase goes off and shoots some people. It's even his kneejerk reaction when terrorism is the culprit.

True, light weapons may not do much against assault weapons, but if you can take out one of the jerks, then it is worth it all!

Yes, it was sickening. He also repeated his latest gun control talking point regarding his disgust that people on the can't fly list have the ability to buy guns. As if there is a linkage between buying an airline ticket and exercising your 2nd amendment rights.
