    From the link:
"Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on,"

    So, never!

He's said he saw thousands celebrating 9/11.
He said the wives of the 9/11 terrorists knew what was going to happen.
He says no Muslims should be allowed in the country.
He said he wants to bring back waterboarding as an interrogation technique.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring from Trump on Muslims?

How long before Trump calls for beheading of Muslims?

Somebody forgot to tell Donald that Islam is a religion and not an ethnicity.

Yet folks don't think all of his extreme rhetoric and the rhetoric coming from others on the far right isn't influencing anyone to violence.Rolleyes
This man has said he wants to blow up these people.
He has said he'd go after their families.
He wants to start a registry/database for them.
And now he wants to ban all Muslim travel to the US.Cautious

What's even sadder is the number of folks who agree with his foolishness.

I think I might just have to be DONE with anyone who supports or endorses this man for President. If I were a Christian supporting him right now or during the general election, I would be absolutely ashamed to have myself associated with the Holiness of Christ and this incredibly wicked man.

Baptists have fought and died for religious liberty since before the inception of this nation. As part of the crafting of the vision of the Founders, Baptists contended bravely for its inclusion in the documents of this early union. Religious liberty, that is the free expression of all religion in the public square, has been a hallmark of Baptist theology and belief ever since Baptists began.

Mr Trump represents a view of this nation and a philosophy of government that is antithetical to the principles of religious liberty. This statement about shutting down the borders to Muslims is as ignorant as it is against the founding principles of this nation.

Not only is Mr Trump's proposal impossible to enforce, as someone has aptly noted, Islam is a religion not an ethnicity, it is the tool a of fascism that has been used in the past to exclude and harm others at different times and in other nations...and even ours.

I've always said that a person's character will always show up given enough time. Mr Trump's has clearly shown through in clear colors. He is as dangerous a candidate as he is a foolish choice for President.

I would love to see him tell some of those wealthy Saudi Muslims and the ones from Dubai that he doesn't want them to be able to enter the country.

It's funny how folks say that President Obama was divisive. Now folks without an agenda should be able to see just how "together" he may have been trying to keep everybody. In comparison to Trump's fascism, the GOP needs to just be quiet about divisiveness. They ( and I include his fellow candidates for the GOP Presidential nomination) helped egg him on so that he would now have this platform. I don't think they realized just how big his appetite was for the spotlight.

Lets talk about this for a minute.
How many people say America is a Christian nation ? Yes, about 70% claim they are; but some are not
How many people say that the top 1% don't care about the "bottom of the totem pole" workers - sure some actually feel that way but many do not.
How many try to be PC and only use the term "Native American" Sure some want to be refered to that way, but others prefer to be called Indians.
How many believe that TV is a total wasteland - Of course there are many bad TV programs - a lot is a waste of time - but there are good programs - there are Chrisitan programs which have brought people to Christ.

bottom line - We all often use phrases - that appears to be 100% - but we realize that in a literal sense it is not absolutely true. Lets face it - we all say the Sun rise - when literally it does not.

But when a Muslim is referred as an ethnic group - we get the ideal.

And IN THE LIGHT - do you really believe that Trump would call for the beheading of Muslims?
Simple yes or no will do.

Will I vote for Trump - if he is the Republican nominee - YES!

However, since I am not a Republican - I will NOT be able to vote in the Empire State R- Primary.

Since you called me out, YES, I think Trump would call for the beheading of Islamic terrorists caught on U.S. soil.

I agree with you. There was a German that folks once thought wouldn't do these things too.

Do any of you realize that legal immigration was shut down between 1924-1965?

Do you know that a law (Number 8 US code 1182) was passed in 1952 by a Democrat-majority?

    The law stated :

Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by president.

Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or
any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental
to the interests of the United States, the president may, by
proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary,
suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants
or nonimigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions
he may deem to be appropriate.

Do any of you realize that Jim Crow laws continued to be enforced pretty much up to 1965? The last thing anybody needs to be drawing from as an example of what to do with immigrants is the racist and racially bigoted eras of this country's past.

Gosh, looking at the past you could justify Donald Trump's foolishness. Apparently some don't learn from the mistakes of the past.

But anyway, if I'm not mistaken, it was NOT shut down. They just limited the number of folks who could come in based upon the number of folks who were already here from a region.

Iran isn't the second largest practiced religion in the world.
