No. he's more the voice of really angry non-thinking folks. Somebody needs to ask: what would America look like with him in charge?

Is there any evidence that angry non-thinking people are not the majority in this country?

Why are they "non-thinking"? Simply because we do not agree with them? I do believe people are so fed up with all the extremes that Trump is a source of refreshing because he is in their face and is no beholden to anyone. He is blunt and people trust that. I believe people are thinking things through they are just tired of the status quo.

Because Trump says he can do something and they simply believe him, without thinking. He's running on the force of his will with scant details.

Take the idea that he's going to "build a wall on the border and make Mexico pay for it."

"I'm the worst thing that's ever happened to ISIS."

"We've been losing to China lately. If I'm president we'll win."

"I'm going to make the military the strongest it's ever been. No one will mess with us."

    "Make America great again."

He's just a sloganeering fountain. People lap it up without thinking it through. What, exactly, does he mean when he says he's the worst thing to ever happen to ISIS? He hasn't happened anything with ISIS.

Sometimes it just seems like you are ignoring what he says just to make this claim because it is completely false.

These are pretty self explanatory not sure what needs to be explained here.

We can disagree with him without misrepresenting him as this statement above does.

I would agree it would be nice to have some specifics about how he will do it - but you do have to admit, that he has had many success in the past - yes some failures - but overall - huge a success. He obviously does know how to get things done.

Specifics about what? He has given all kinds of specifics. We may not like what he wants to do or evne believe he can do it bit to say he has given no specifics is just false.

Link says unless Mexico pays for the wall then he will increase fees on visas. Wow, well thought out plan there. I bet that scares the Mexicans!

Link details Trump's plan to bomb their oil facilities and then confiscate their oil. So, basically have the US go into another country, kill a bunch of people, and then take the oil. Boy, that sound like a well thought out plan, with no international repercussions.

Link says that Trump will force China to the negotiating table. He will close down China's sweat shops, end their intellectual property piracy, and declare the Chinese as currency manipulators. In short, through the strength of his personality he will bend the Chinese to his will. Ain't gonna happen.

What needs to be explained is why someone would consider his "plans" to be well thought out, and not merely a lot of bloviating about how good he is and what he, and he alone, can do that no one else can do.

He's given very little specifics. His plan to "make Mexico pay for the wall" is to increase visa fees for Mexicans until they cry uncle and agree to pay for the wall. He also says he will capture all remittance payments (money sent back to Mexico) that are gotten from illegal wages. Sounds great, doesn't it? Can't be done in the real world.

Ok well he has given details. You may not like them but your earlier claim that he just makes slogans is patently false.

Ok well says you. Your statement that it cannot be done is as much a bumper sticker slogan as anything he has said.

Suppose a presidential candidate announced he had a plan to solve the world's increasing demand for energy, stop global warming, and kick start the American economy. He went around the country touting the golden age that he will usher in to the world. His plan is to develop cheap cold fusion reactors. Sounds great, doesn't it? Abundant, non-ending, inexpensive energy obtained from water. Every new home built will have a small cold fusion reactor. Older homes can have them retrofitted. Awesome plan, eh?

The scenario I outlined makes unrealistic claims that could never come to fruition, but it is a PLAN. This is what Trump does--claims he can do things that are impossible and calls it a plan. He can do things that are impractical, impossible, just because he says so. He can make China close down sweat shops, force them to the negotiating table, stop them from pirating movies, software, music, etc. just by his force of will. Mexico will build a wall because he says he'll make them do it. He'll bring back millions of jobs from overseas, because he says so. He will get along with Putin, he will deal with the maniac in North Korea, he will get rid of regulations that are destroying us, etc. etc.

This is not what he said, you know.

Again this is not how he said he will do it he gave some specific details.
He'll bring back millions of jobs from overseas, because he says so. He will get along with Putin, he will deal with the maniac in North Korea, he will get rid of regulations that are destroying us, etc. etc.
You have yet to prove they are unrealistic claims. Your criticism is not better that what you are accusing him of.

Well, let's look at Donald's record as an elected official..... oh yeah, he has none.

Listen, ppl berated Obeyme for not having any real experience in government, yet the "educated voters" elected him twice. Now look at the shape we're in. I had to hold my nose and vote Republican twice.

The Repugnicans need to put somebody up there who can really lead lest we have a non-leader like we've had. Remember: one of Oliar's appeals was that he was an outsider (politically speaking) and not sullied by "the system". And look at what we got.

I'm not thrilled about Trump. I'm equally not thrilled about having another Bush or another Clinton in charge.
