A: There is a future for Israel (the Nation). They will be "grafted in" to God (the "root") once again.

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

The Holy Spirit highlights Ot. Israel"s failure.
God has already saved a remnant to Himself
The curses of Deut 29-33 come upon Israel.
The blessings of the coming redeemer come to Zion.
From there beginning with the remnant the Kingdom spreads worldwide to the gentile nations...jew and gentile one new man.
all of the promises in Isa. belong to the Church .
    Jesus is ;
8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

God is able to graft them in again. Many believe He will before the end of time. It us not a guarantee.
Romans 9-15 finishes with Gentiles coming safely into God's millennial rule as is indicated by Rom 15:12.
That is clearly happening since the time of the Apostles.
The church is central in God 's plan.

I noticed that in addition to this covenant mentioned in Romans 11:27 [Isaiah 59:21], there are some other covenants concerning the Nation of Israel (aka: "Jacob", "Israel").

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
    Jeremiah 31:33
And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel. Numbers 25:13

Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. Exodus 19:5-6

As Paul stated: "For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins."

That nation as a whole failed to keep the covenant as they promised they would.
God brought the covenant curses of Deut 28-33 upon them...as Jesus told them mt21:43.
Peter speaks of the Christian nation in 1 pet 2 that is now the Holy nation made up of the elect remnant of Jews and believing gentiles now.The exo19 passage now finds fulfillment in the Christian Israel. As Peter declares

The Future Nation of Israel is described in Ezekiel 48. It is populated by Israelites and Mosaic Law is practiced. John's Baptism was the first step in preparation for priesthood, the entire nation following would have fulfilled Exodus 19. Israel would be a light unto the Gentile Nations with Messiah's throne there on Zion. Here is the layout as described in Ezek 48:

I think a good starting place would be here...

    Romans 11
25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Iconoclast, what do you think Paul is talking about here?

I will address more on Romans 11 25 and 26 later on when I sit at the computer but I'm just curious why you think this is a good place to start when the way I set up the thread is to look at Romans nine chapters 9 to 15 and I list 60 vs or more from the Old Testament that the Holy Spirit gave to the Apostle Paul to construct what we have in our Bible,
As Romans 9thru15 why do you think I wanted to vs because it speaks about Israel and maybe your presuppositions .
what about the other 60 vs that the Holy Spirit gave the Paul is an explanation of what was taking place in the preaching of the gospel.

I would say *Christ* is central in God's plan. I'm not being nit-picky, this is important to confirm before going forward.
