Sen. Ted Cruz Goes After Sen. McConnell For Being Democrats’ Puppet

Sen. Ted Cruz went after House Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell
Monday, arguing that he works for Democrats — including Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) — to help get their liberal policies passed in Congress.

“I have said that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is the most effective Democratic leader in modern times” wrote Cruz in Politico. He added:

But don’t take my word for it. Take Sen. Chuck Schumer’s, the vice chair of the Senate Democratic conference. Today Sen. Schumer summed up what’s wrong with Washington when he told Politico, “Sen. McConnell wants to see the Senate work. But the good news for [Democrats] is, to make it work, he has to do basically our agenda.”

The GOP elected a House and then a Senate but nevertheless the Dems have been able to pass their agenda. It is partly fear of Obama but it is also the fact that the GOP wants cheap labor and an insulated upper class.

Mainly it's because weak kneed republicans are deathly afraid of being accused of shutting down the government. They are admitting they don't have anyone articulate enough to make the case that the only way to shut down this lawless president and his illegal actions is to deny funding for his illegal actions.

Yes, I like your post and everything that you say is true but also the rich are in cahoots in their desire to fundamentally change the USA--they want to go to a British class system with a permanent underclass of low-paid workers. The rich think that socialism is a cheap way of handling the lower classes while still maintaining their wealth and privilege. It is cheaper to dole out small benefits that to pay wages in the minds of the rich. Also, socialism puts people under the thumb of the government/rich better than a free enterprise system which allows people to buy what they need. The rich believe that the common man is mere cannon fodder and he can be oppressed as in ancient Rome while the rich still live the life of Riley.

The huge budget bill more or less hands the GOP nomination to Trump but then the rich do not have a good political strategy because they ignore the common people or mock them as Obama does.
