Scattered thoughts here of a miscellaneous kind.

It was 81 years ago that Elvis was born. He covered so many types of music. But just in the ballad
department alone his voice can stand up against the best of 20th century real singers. Some of his
best material are songs that are relatively unknown by the general public. Titles follow :
    Could I Fall In Love
    Anyone Could Fall In Love
    Mine
They Remind Me Too Much Of You
    All That I Am
    Fountain Of Love
    Echoes Of Love
    Singing Tree
I Will Be Home Again (with Charlie Hodge)
    The Girl I Never Loved
    Forget About The Stars
    She's Not You
If I'm A Fool For Loving You
    That's Someone You'll Never Forget
    You'll Be Gone
    Beyond The Reef
    Something Blue
    Indescribably Blue
    If I Were You
    It's Over

I really admire the articles by Katie Hopkins in the Daily Mail. She is a voice of reason that doesn't mind being politically incorrect.

Joe Biden is bidin' his time I do believe. I mentioned it elsewhere, but I think Hillary has got to be prosecuted for her crimes. Sanders is much more popular than her. However, if Hillary isn't the Democrat winner it will be a brokered convention and Joe's the most likely "name candidate" for the Dems. The Dem establishment will not let Bernie be their standard bearer.

As bad as Obama has been --we will find out how much worse it really was after Next Jan.

I am putting the cart before the horse here. I know lots can happen in the next 10 months. But usually the running mate acts as a bull dog so the Presidential candidate can remin above the fray. Well who --short of Christie (and it certainly won't be him) can fill THAT role when The Donald will always be the more aggressive personality?

You know, Obama has his Luther alter ego speak for him in an extra-passionate manner. Who in the world could do the same for The Donald? It would have to be someone who is mild-mannered and genteel. Sone with the cultured upper-class voice of Peter Serafinawicz. He is hilarious.

The Two Phony Bills --Clinton and Cosby. The current generation does not know how vile he has been with women.

I've noticed that winters are cold!! But I tend to bundle up more than the younger generation.

A few (intentionally non-political) of my own:

No, not ALL people from Sweden like Abba. Seriously.

My bit of Northern Wisconsin has been experiencing a January thaw for a few days. This morning, while clearing ice from my home's gutter pipe, I found a live house fly that had been hiding in it. Tough creatures.

    Why do dogs love snow?

That wouldn't interest me. I know them all. I like to hear the various takes from his sessions and his alternative versions. He did a lot of private home recordings which are gems --though the sound quality of course is not the best.

There is a recording done around 1966. He's playing Beethoveen's Moonlight Sanata and vocalizing all the way through. The man had amazing talent.

He did music that in many cases were better than a lot of his hits.

I have met Swedish young people here. I had asked them about Abba. Though it's not their musical preference they are very proud of the group and its identification with their nation. It's a patriotic thing.

I don't know where he really stood with his relationship with the Lord, but I do enjoy his versions of some of the Christian classics. Oh no, I am old, really old. Frown

Elvis is one of those people I remember where I was when I heard he kicked off. At least he was reincarnated, (and cloned many times it would seem) and they all are living in Vegas ;)

I have felt that if Trump won the nomination, that I would like to see Cruz on the ticket with him. I just wonder how they would get along. When I become President (of what, I don't know) I would want a VP that I could work with as a team.

Hildary running is pretty gutsy after her husband was only the 2nd president to be impeached, I would think a normal person would want to find a rock, and hide under it.

Bill Cosby, what can you say, he already confessed. Put him in a cell with Aaron Hernandez, and Aaron can use him as a tackling dummy.

Winters do tend to get cold, but I moved, and now I complain the summers are to HOT, and to long.Whistling
