I have no problem voting for congress, senate or president my problem is how to discern who is worthy of my vote.

At the heart of this statement is the fact that I must abide by the guidelines I believe are established in the word of God. This means I pray for whoever is in office and I reference them with respect but what about those who will be elected and perhaps by my vote (a scary thought).

Do I vote for a Mormon who is an Idol worshipper, do I vote for a candidate who I believes has murder hidden in their road to the top though it obviously cannot be proved? Do I vote for the person who just attacks everyone and everything and seems to have no active brain to accompany his mouth, do I vote for a man who seems to waver from day to day on where he stands and what he has seen?

With so much wickedness and untruthfulness on both sides of the political process how is one who does not follow politics, discern who should get his vote?

    NOPE.
    NOPE.
    NOPE.

Before it's time to make your vote, do a little bit of research.

    I start with the basics:
    1. Does the person love Christ and do I see the person loving others out of the overflow of their love for Christ?
    2. Is the person's position aligned with Scripture?

Most politicians rarely make it past #1 and thus can't have my support. I usually write someone in because I try not be a party to someone who supports evil if I can help it.
