Hmm, I'm having some serious Déjà vu about this post.....Biggrin

But to answer your question, a deacon is like any other man. A deacon may show signs that he is upset, either consciously or not. Or a deacon may be upset with you and successfully keep his feelings hidden from you.

If it was of a serious nature wouldn't he come to me about it?

Yesterday when he prayed he prayed for God to give me the words for the message. That doesn't sound like a person who is angry right?

    I would hope so.
That doesn't set off any red flags to me.

Should I go to him and talk to him or let him come to me?

Are you the pastor of this church? You sound very insecure that worries me. Yes, of course if you think there is a problem you would speak to him. Do not get paranoid but instead address issues head on. Relationships are important as a pastor and how you see other people will affect how you treat them. Clear the air directly with the person you are concerned about.

Preacher, please do not take this the wrong way. In another thread, you indicated that you had issues with anxiety and OCD. Judging from previous posts/threads, you seem to be unusually wound up about this deacon. Could it be time to see your doctor and/or seek out other face-to-face counsel?

I hope that I am seeing something that is not there, and certainly intend no offense.

    progress on the deacon.
He still doesn't seem right around me and gives me stares, yet when I am preaching he will say amen or preach on. Does this seem weird to anyone?

Speak to him. If you are wrong, you just apologize and ask the man to pray for you that you do not continue to get paranoid and read too much into people. If you are right, then you have repaired a relationship.
