    And now many Americans want to look like the world and claim to be Christian. At least in the past we used to believe in the fundamental doctrines.

    I suppose there are two ways of seeing it. As a nation if we were then what we claimed to be then we would not be now what we are. I do not know if which is worse, “Christianity” as culture or that same pagan culture shedding all pretense.
