Trump: Transgender people can use whatever bathroom they want
    By NICK GASS

    04/21/16 08:49 AM EDT

Transgender people should be able to use whatever bathroom they want, Donald Trump said Thursday.

"Oh, I had a feeling that question was going to come up, I will tell you. North Carolina did something that was very strong. And they're paying a big price. There's a lot of problems," the Republican presidential candidate said during a town hall event on NBC's "Today."

Referring to comments from an unnamed commentator who on Wednesday said North Carolina should "leave it the way it is right now," Trump said he agreed.

"Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they're going through with all the business that's leaving, all of the strife -- and this is on both sides. Leave it the way it is," he said, referring to companies that have canceled plans to move or expand businesses in the state as a result of the law, which bans transgender individuals from using a bathroom that does not match their gender at birth.

It's on the list, but it doesn't make the top ten.

This shouldn't even be an issue for the Presidency. I think if Trump were President, he would want an efficient executive branch, and would be more apt to kick things back to the states that belong there. It would definitely make the Executive's job easier.

Reminds me of a friend, years ago. She walked into a dress shop with you young, younger than 5, and asked the clerk if her daughter could use their employees toilet. There was no public rest room in the store. The clerk was quite hostile in her, "No she can't."

This made my friend mad. She turned to her daughter and said, Melissa, go over in that corner and pee on the floor.

The clerk suddenly decided it was all right if the little girl used their employees toilet.

Individual rights are a big thing and President's generally weigh in.

Just start making partitions that go all the way down to the floor, and all the way to the ceiling so that it's like an individual restroom.

Just make stores smaller and do not offer restrooms.

Which is why they're left to the states, and why the Constitution is not an enumeration of rights, but an enumeration of powers, and there is nothing in the Constitution about the President's power concerning store owner's and their rights to segregate bathrooms based on gender.

There's this little thing called the Commerce Clause in the Constitution. And if companies want to continue to do business across federal channels( roadways, railways, water, etc.), they have to abide by the federal powers of which the President influences.

The federal government has chosen not to discriminate. So anyone doing commerce with the federal government or through federal channels is subject to its non-discrimination laws.

I couldn't care less about how much influence he would have on the stores. I do care about his character that supports such garbage. It says he is an immoral man. (among other things)

Yes, yes, we all know about the commerce clause and how it has been perverted into Fascism.

Well, either an immoral man who loves America and free enterprise, or an immoral woman who hates both.

The lesser of two evils is still evil.

No kidding. But I wonder which one of these two is the lesser evil?

Yes, they’re both corrupt, lying, narcissists, but at least Clinton has to sort of pretend she’s not, whereas Trump has actually made it his platform. That means Trump would have a mandate to govern the way he’s campaigned and do all the terrible things he told us he wants to do. Clinton would like to do the same, but perhaps she will not be quite as free to do it.

Yes, she’ll have the media in her pocket, but Trump owns quite a few media stooges as well. And beyond the media, if Trump were actually elected, which he won’t be, then the American people will have explicitly signed on to four years of the Trump Show, broadcast live from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

So if we’re doing the lesser-of-two-evils thing, I would have to consider the possibility that Hillary Clinton, for reasons that have more to do with context than with her personally, is the lesser. But I am absolutely ruling Hillary out, no matter who she’s against, because she is all the things we discussed, and I would sooner take a bullet to the head than cast my ballot for her. And if Hillary is out of the question, regardless of the degree of evil she’s running against, then Trump is out for the same reason.

If you say so. But Presidents have all used it pretty much the same way. And I don't see a push to overturn too many of these commerce laws.

Socially Trump and Clinton are just another Obama. America is doomed. We are looking at 12-16 straight years of social debauchery. Unless a surprise third party candidate emerges soon we can kiss freedom away. It is already half way there.]

One thing is clear for Christians; It will be easier to separate from the world because it will be so obvious, like the bathroom issue.
