Stunning Zinc Fireworks When Egg Meets Sperm
EVANSTON, Ill. --- Sparks literally fly when a sperm and an egg hit it off. The fertilized mammalian egg releases from its surface billions of zinc atoms in “zinc sparks,” one wave after another, a Northwestern University-led interdisciplinary research team has found.
    ....
“On cue, at the time of fertilization, we see the egg release thousands of packages, each dumping a million zinc atoms, and then it’s quiet,” said Thomas V. O’Halloran, the other corresponding author. “Then there is another burst of zinc release. Each egg has four or five of these periodic sparks. It is beautiful to see, orchestrated much like a symphony.

Reading only what you quoted, I can bet that the pro-abortion types will simply call it a biochemical reaction.

Just noting that due to the rules on this board, those with credible viewpoints differing from the OP (not the article) aren't permitted to note their nuancing. Since no where in the article does it say "life begins at conception."

FTR, I oppose abortion, I simply wish those who are pro-life would think holistically and completely about their positions.

Well...I suppose that's why I put a question mark at the end of the thread title?

Would you mind further explaining "holistically and completely about their positions"? Thanks.

    ---edited to add---
Oh, and for the record, I'm not pro-life. I'm anti-abortion.

There are several here that claim to be pro-life, yet firmly support and voted for Obama, the most pro abortion president ever. They may be fooling themselves, but not the rest of us.

Christians have no business supporting or voting for anyone who supports the slaughter of the unborn. There is just no good reason for it. Ever.

I'll be happy to reply if a moderator agrees that I can articulate my position. In the past I've requested this permission and it has been granted but given the rules of the board, noted in the forum stickies, I always ask before posting. When I had previously, a number of years go, posted my nuanced position on the point where life begins I was censored and lovingly rebuked (in private) by a moderator. I do not wish to overstep the authorities placed over me. :)

There is no such thing. That's just an excuse for all kinds of leftist morally wrong positions. You can nuance yourself to death you'll never fool God. Only yourself. The character of God and what He expects of us is never..."nuanced".

Please feel free to private message me. I'm curious about your "nuances."
