Don't know if this belongs in his forum or not.

    But.....

It seems like my 2 choices for an NASB bible are either low quality ones made in China with super thin ghosting paper or very expensive Schuyler or Allan.

I don't have $200 nor do I have the inclination to buy one on the cheap that I cannot read. So is there something in middle? Or do I just read it on my tablet?

Find one in the public libiary and forget to take it back - they probably wont even miss it.

The Hebrew-Greek keyword (genuine leather) Study Bible is pretty good quality and won't break the bank. The MacArthur NASB Study Bible has thinner paper, but not too bad.

*I should note, the Keyword Study Bible uses the NASB77 edition

    Thou shalt not steal.

I know you were just kidding.

I bet if they did notice that they would make a big fuss about it. Just to show how bad those Christians really are. Roflmao Might even make CNN

I opted for the tablet (I have a couple NASB's but as I get older they are harder to read. The bible apps have improved so much that I prefer the tablet now - not only for the ease of reading but also for basically unlimited room for margin notes and highlighting).

An update to the NASB will hit the shelves early next year. Lockman Foundation is also looking at getting better quality Bibles produced.

**Link won't work for some reason. Search Lockman Foundations Facebook posts from Jan 28 of this year. **

It's only going to be a refinement --not a true update. Likewise, the mild and minimal changes that the ESV makes periodically are not true updates --just some refinements.

Gonna buy one of these. Hopefully I'll enjoy it.

    Go to www.christianbook.com

They have a Giant Print NASB for $35.99.

They are using the NA28 to update the NASB. That could mean several changes in the catholic letters. A significant one would be in Jude where Lord is changed to Jesus in verse 5. Which would bring the NASB in line with ESV....if it follows the NA28.

Just learned a tip: put a black sheet of paper under the page you are reading...it cuts down on ghosting. Try it.

Why BUY a bible, when it is FREE?

All the folks on the BB have at least some access to a computer, and most use cell phones and perhaps even tablets.

Use this to download to a computer.

Use this to download to phone or tablet.

Someday in church when the preacher asks everyone to hold up their Bibles, all the phones and tablets will be raised. :)

Some of us prefer to use a physical book - which can still be used when your phone/tablet/laptop dies.
