Daniel 2:21 "And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:"

Based on the morals of our nation we are getting what we deserve in leaders. God established Obama and America didn't wake up, what we get next will be worse yet again until American Christians begin to take a stand and get involved heavily in the political arena. If we want true change in this nation we need strong Christians who will not back away from Godly standards. Why is prayer fought so hard for students not to pray? Because Christians failed to stand up and sue, Madeline Murray O'hare. Why are the ten commandments fought so hard, because Christians won't rise in counter protest. Amendment 1 states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Allowing prayer or a morning devotion is not establishing a religion and students having Bibles in schools is not either and yet we sit back and complain to each other but we don't stand and fight, why is that?
If we want our nation Great Again, God must be in the Plan. Without Him we are no longer a nation under God and we will be sinking to new lows settling for status quo.

I understand your sentiment, but it will not work under our Constitution.

As we are a nation guaranteeing freedom for all then you have to see that if you allow the Bible in a classroom then you would also have to allow the Koran, the Theravada Buddhism: A full collection of texts call the Pali Canon, the Mahayana Buddhism: Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, Song of Milarepa, Bodhisatva Sutra, as well as the Vedas ... and who know what else would have to be allowed. You cannot allow one and deny all others, not in a free country.

Let's assume that you can have devotions daily. What groups would be allowed to lead the devotion and what groups would not be allowed to lead devotions?

What Christians need to do is to live lives so Christlike that other will be attracted to Him through what they see in us.

    Blessings.

Let them bring their Koran, Buddism in fact offer a class showing and comparing the religions of the world. Let a Born again Christian teach their beliefs, and a priest from each group, give the Kids an understanding of them all. Currently the Religion of Evolution is being taught, but most of the religions of the world teach creationism. So a Religion is already being taught in schools in what is called science classes. Allow a child to read his Bible or Koran or whatever HE or SHE wants to read and let them pray whenever they want. They allow Muslims to do it in many schools yet a Christian student is denied that right.

All of the aforementioned issues are dealt with by the US elements of the freedom of assembly, freedom of association and freedom of speech.
If a group of Hindus, Muslims or Flat Earth Society want to start a friendship group they should be allowed.
If I don't want to assemble or associate with those who want to read the Bagavad Gita then I don't have to do so.
If I go to said group and some one starts singing the Vedas then I am free to leave.
And in fact when going to secular college I did exercise these rights on the campus (San Jose).

From what I have seen the only Religion that must be kept out of the schools is Christianity. They are already inserting Islam to the schools.
