BIRMINGHAM, AL—Falling over several times while squealing barely-coherent apologies, two Mormon missionaries fled on their bikes in abject terror after knocking on a door during routine proselytizing Saturday and being greeted by David Platt, President of the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board and author of bestselling books Radical and Follow Me.

LOL - Too funny!! But could you imagine if that really happened? I wonder if they mark down the addresses of people they know they shouldn't visit. :)

I don't know if this really happened but I know this did because I was there... Two young Mormons who introduced their selves as elders weather they had bikes or not I don't know as this was over 50+ years ago came upon my dad who was working on his car in the driveway... My dad was a deacon and the church clerk of the Primitive Baptist Church in San Diego... All I remember is that one of the young Mormon men an elder (well that was what his name tag said) asked my dad a question... Whereupon my dad who studied his Bible regularly replied with a question of his own... What it was I have no idea... My dad waited and waited for an answer and I could see that they were both uncomfortable with the question he asked... I guess that the more learned of the two spoke and said I will have to talk to another elder and return and give you your answer... My dad said you run along now and I will wait for your return and your answer... They never came back and we were never bothered again by Mormons!... To this day I still wonder what question dad asked that the Mormons were left speechless?... Only dad and God knows!... Brother Glen

I've heard of that before and I wonder if they have a map with a big "X" on the houses that they shouldn't go to. Once Jehovah's Witnesses went to my pastor's house. Once. ;)

Just so you know, Babylon Bee is like The Onion. It's satire so the stories aren't true. :)

OH!... But my story was true... Here is another one told by another deacon in our church... He went to visit his son and his family (Mormons) in Salt Lake City... When he hit the state line he was stopped by the police... He had broken no law but the police still stopped him... I guess they realized his license was from out of state (California) and what business had he in Utah?... He told them he was visiting his son and his family and after they were convinced they let him go... Upon reaching his son's place he related the story of what happened and why he was late (this was way before cellphones)... Where upon his son handed him the book of Mormon and said put this on your dashboard next time you come... He did every time he went to visit his son and never had any more trouble!... You know what they say: When in Rome do as the Romans do!... Brother Glen
