    Hello everyone,
    My wife, I and our toddler are planning to travel to South padre Island end of this August.
    Have any of you been there?
    We are looking to spend a day or two.
    If you have any suggestions on places to visit and things to do, please let me know!

    I live just down the highway from SPI we drive over quite frequently. It is a very nice (although expensive) vacation spot. Get me a day or two and I will put together a list of "must see" places on the Island. :)

    Prior to coming to Texas we lived in San Diego, just a stone's throw from the Pacific.

    Well, my wife says I am a rock, but I like your's better. :D

    I love San diego, nature at its best and beautiful beaches.
    Expensive though :Whistling

    The dolphin boat at Pier 19 is great but not sure when the dolphins are abundant.

    Love the Pirate Ship at Pirate's Landing. A little pricey but fun, and the kids will love it.

    The Turtle Hospital.

    The Bird sanctuary.
